I was on Meghan Dwyre 23 news FB page. Todd & Katrina's house was burglarized. Also before Katrina went missing somebody wearing a mask was putting "hate Katrina" flyers out in the parking lot of her work. She apparently suspected a supervisor or co-worker but because a mask was worn they were unable to determine who it was for sure

If this can be linked back to her husband, that would show a sick premeditated plan, in my opinion.

The burglary happened 11/30 the incident with the flyers happened a month before she disappeared. Employees at where she worked were told not to discuss it but something about it being a shift supervisor.

Thank you all for the welcomes. I guess I should have clarified his size has nothing to do with being able to inflict that kind of damage. Absolutely a suprise from behind with a weapon would do it. But for him to be able to lift her get her into trunk lift her back out of trunk etc is hard to believe. Ive had to lift deceased comatosed & stroke pts & had to have help. And I'm 5'10 155lbs its not as simple as people may think.

I still believe he had help with the moving and disposing ....

imo

If it were linked to him it would definitelh shpw he was angry &the tryi.g to make her look bad but i dont know that flyers a month before her death show premeditation for murder

I sure hope she gets justice. I hope LE isnt leading with their emotions circumstancial evidence & hearsay because that would be a great injustice to her. Too many things still don't make sense

Wearing a red jail jumpsuit, Smith, 45, answered Judge John Truitt in a near whisper that he understood the charges against him.

They include allegations that he forced his wife into the trunk of a car on or about Oct. 22, beat her to death with a baseball bat and threw her into the Rock River, where she was discovered weeks after he reported her missing.

Well, if it was in that order, I guess it explains how someone his size was able to get her into the trunk of a car, as well as out again. Then, as she struggled to get out, the coward used a baseball bat.

I'm not quite having the trouble over his innocence/guilt as a few if in this order.

i cant even identify the feelings or words to express my sadness at what he did to her. why, just why? if he ever really truly loved her just for one day out of their entire marriage i dont think he could have killed her like this...this is just unspeakable.

I know, we read this stuff here everyday...for some reason this bothers me more .. i have no idea why. im not even a violent person and i seriously wouldnt have a problem with someone beating him to death with a baseball bat.

I can not even begin to think of the girls....for their sake this was not completely out of the blue...kwim..like maybe they were already coping with the fact that their dad didnt treat katrina very well...idk...

i feel ill. what is wrong with people? just get divorced...duh.

I hope they have the bat with his prints found her blood on his clothing something to prove this theory. Absolutely sickens me to think of this happening to her but truly makes me question things even more. First LE said they believe he killed her inside their Machesney Park home. Now they say he forced her into the trunk and the beating took place there. I look at photos of their neighborhood &the how close the houses are. She would just go out & get into the trunk? Not scream for help? Not run a few feet to another house? I pray for her sake LE is wrong. The thought of a person she loved &Todd shared her life with doing that to her is heart breaking

Prosecutors allege that on or around Oct. 22, Todd Smith used a baseball bat to beat Katrina Smith about the head and body. Smith allegedly then placed Katrina in the trunk of a vehicle, transported her to the Rock River and dumped her into the water.

It is believed Katrina was killed in the couple’s Machesney Park home, 8239 Tetterhall Lane. Sources say Katrina was at the home Oct. 22 to do laundry.

I have never thought Todd's small stature would prohibit him from both murdering and moving/disposing of her body.

To me after reading the indictments, it seems clear that Katrina was killed in the home, then her body was placed in the trunk of a car and transported to the river.

It's not clear whether they actually found a bat, or maybe the ME said the blows could have been made with a weapon similar to ...

My thoughts are with Katrina's family and loved ones. I wish they never had to hear the ugly details of her death.
