Even if this young child mom was 'making out' with a boyfriend her own age or close to it... (which I doubt)... the fact this man took her and fled without permission is telling.

LE needs to be very cautious about approaching them.because this abductor has to know he's going away most likely if and when apprehended.
So sad and worried about her and her babies' safety.

When I was 13... I was a tomboy who hated the thought of makeup , and was thinking about things like the new bike I'd been wanting that summer when my b-day came.
Can't imagine the life this young teen has already been through.

I am more worried of a health situation may arise and he would not take them for care due to being wanted than he would harm them. I would like to know if she had been successfully breast feeding or if the baby is bottle fed. Formula and diapers are expensive and I am sure he did not have a lot of money to get a stockpile. I would hope I am wrong and wish the news had a video showing them buying baby supplies somewhere so we knew the baby is alive. I am judging his financial status by the fact he is driving a 20 year old vehicle and that I read they may be staying in low end motels. Then again maybe because he hasn't spent money on a vehicle may mean he does have some money saved up. I wish they would release some details about whether they were stocked up on supplies or not and how it is being financed. My thoughts are if he did not care for their welfare he would have encouraged the girl to abort the baby and eliminate the proof of him being the father early in the pregnancy if he is. All signs point to him being the father but we don't know for certain yet. Why didn't he run off with her before the baby was born? It would have been easier to establish themselves in a new life without having a newborn baby. I am curious if there could be anyone else with them. A quick thought is maybe a young man who had been a ward of the state and recently aged out so no one realizes he is "missing" also.

This... I think I just blew genuine smoke out of my ears... Not only no find my daughter, no please come home , no "public service announcement that she is exhausting all avenues, to see that her daughter and grandchild are returned safe..." Honestly, this is not being mean, judgemental, or critical... These are the facts, regardless of how harsh it may be...[emoji27] [emoji35] [emoji33] [emoji27]

This is a very frightening situation. Two week old babies are very fragile creatures. They can get dehydrated, or over heated, or too cold, or not enough nutrients, all so easily. And a 13 yr old, who is under pressure and in poor health is in no condition to care for a newborn in these severely stressful conditions. And that is not even mentioning the elephant in the room called Daddy.

Looking at the young mom's picture being posted by LE, she seems to have thinning hair. If so, it could be due to her medical condition or stress. I hope the children are found and in good health.

This is the article that says K has a pacemaker. Can you imagine, got pregnant at 12, has a pacemaker, now has given birth to a child. How much can a 13 year old body stand? I hope they are found safe & recovered quickly

I agree. Maybe it's a thyroid issue?

You generally lose some hair after childbirth but usually about 3-6 months postpartum. This would be too soon.

i think the poor dear believes that she loves him.

The aunt, who has the same name as JD, confirmed what we are all thinking on a post I saw on FB. Some think KD went willingly, but she could have been brainwashed or anything. He could be promising a great life. KD could be scared if DCS was gonna take her baby away. This is so frightening on all fronts. Hope they can find them safely

I did think her stay in the hospital after having the baby was a little long but I thought... maybe because she is so young. I'm sure it was a combination of many things.

To me "willingly" in this case only means "He didn't hold a gun to her head and drag her to the car."

She's 13 and I'm going to assume she would do as she was told or what she thought was expected of her.

I'm just speculating, but my guess is CPS had a court order for a DNA test on the baby and now the baby and mother are gone.

That was my thoughts also, i think I posted earlier. I know, I thought it.

There is a huge assumption the 13 yr old is the victim of sexual abuse and victims of abuse get protected here, even if they do not at other sites or media outlets. It is so this child and her child can live a life free of being stigmatized by what has happened and that following them forever. It's a little too late as the names are already public but I'm very happy WS does this ' courtesy' for the victims.

I got to thinking and here's what really scares me and leaves a pit in my stomach.

(I hope I word this in a way that will make sense.)

In my opinion, REALISTICALLY, the guy has only 2 options:

Option #1:
Bring them back safe, turn himself in and face jail time in a place where everyone loathes him for what we ALL KNOW he did.

OR

Option #2:
Go to every extreme possible to avoid Option #1 (above).

I don't know what to think his motives are either: whether he is planning to get a little cabin in the sticks somewhere and set up housekeeping with this girl and baby, or whether he's trying to get rid of them and so hide the physical evidence of his paternity.

This much is true - this is the first couple generations where taking a 13 year old wife is a crime, especially in the Appalachian mountain area. Up until about 50 years ago, that was fine if the parents approved. Shocking to us now in this age.

They gave a “previous name” for K as AEA but would not explain.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed so disregard if it has. Do we know why she has a previous name? Perhaps someone could explain in greater detail the reason for two different names.

Wonder if her posting this was her cry for help? Remember, a 13 year old mind thinks totally different than you or I.

By her leaving when the guardians/foster parents were not home, I am certain it was planned this way. He probably told her not to tell anyone. You know what your mind is like with a two week old baby, much less a child hearing the crying and constant demands of her baby, she is exhausted and doesn't know if it's day or night. She has to be mentally confused as to what the future holds for her baby. He may have told her to go away with me and we will raise the baby together.

Perhaps he is the only adult she has close to her.
