Her child goes missing, her husband goes missing, her newborn grandson goes missing and.......

Not a word from the mother/wife/grandmother via social media, MSM, carrier pigeon, smoke signals... nothing. On what planet does this happen? Someone please explain.

Why change the first names? Seems so strange. Did all the kids names change? How confusing for a child. I understand the last name but I really don't get changing the first names.

In some older children adoptions, families will ask the older child if they want to add or change any part of their name. It is a time to do it where the family does not have to pay. For example, in our family, our older child had a name that they did not particularly want for a variety of reasons-- going through the adoption process was a way to give my child some choice. We don't know the family history of the mother and birth father. Was there some attachment to the name that came from the paternal side with a relationship that was not positive or held? These kids were old enough to be in court and have a say. I doubt it was just done.

Eventually the money is going to run out. They couldn't have that much.

I don't know how much money they might have - but if you're holed up in a cabin in the boonies, you could probably make a little money go a very long way.

Since they've been in Family Court to have the girls removed, she has a lawyer and I'm sure her lawyer has been VERY firm about telling her not to speak. Or anyway that's my guess.

Yeah I would think they would want her to at least make some kind of a statement. Her being completely absent from the situation is odd.

Very true. But they still have to pay for the cabin in the boonies. I hope for the sake of the baby, they are indoors in a cabin or hotel or something.

This case has really got to me. I find it likely, ( in a horrified kind of way), that there are truly a ton of situations of men and under age girls out there on the 'Down-low' that we will never get wind of...It's not something that's rare, imo.

Historically it has been somewhat 'excused' when this abuse is perpetrated, by wealthy/famous men. And it has been, many, many times.
http://www.xojane.com/issues/what-is-it-about-powerful-men-and-very-young-girls

And what is it about our society that made Hustler Magizine's "Barely Legal" such an enormous success?

One can hardly deny that the Internet is awash with sexual ads, depicting girls who look as young as humanly possible without needing a diaper! s/

Obviously, the market demand is there. There is just no getting around it.

So, as a society, when we condone all that, or at least look away...how then, when the gross reality of situations like this case come to light, can we profess outrage, and act like such men are as rare as serial killers?

Does no one else find it concerning that there is a rather large population of men who are enjoying fantasizing about children, ( I know they are called, "young women" but just look at them!). And if this is the case, surly there's a lot more "inappropriate behavior" going on than we will ever hear about.

Yes Safeguard I agree with you. I have seen some of this with my own eyes, not with a girl this young but I know a man (44) who has started messing with a child (18) and yes she's a child in my eyes. She has always called him Uncle as it's his sisters best friends daughter. He once dated the mom and now messing with this girl. And guess what it was her who pursued him. Just makes me sick.

Yeah. I've also seen it, too often. I once dated a guy, who had a 14yr old sister.
We were all at the beach one day, and she was all over this married guy who was there with his family, I mean we didn't even know these people, but she was, all wet, bikini clad, whipping her hair around right in front of their blanket, as she exited the water. There was no mistaking what she was doing. I called her on it and she told me point blank, "I love to tease married men. It makes me feel powerful". Now obviously she wasn't the healthiest kid right? So it is up to the adults in these kinds of situations to, (at the very least!), refuse to "Play That!"

I have a male friend who, went to a, (very up-scale), strip club one time, out of curiosity, and he later told me that the girls looked so young he felt like a pedophile! He was very uncomfortable.

No reason for him to lie we never dated or anything, but the popularity of child like dancers, suggest that he is, in fact, in the minority. Sad. But. True.

I think with the adoption and the name change it was like a born again moment for "the family" JD stated she got rid of the sperm donor and now they were all happy.
I think maybe JD has not done a Please find my daughter and grandson interview, as they may think that would put attention on the "strangeness of the relationships, instead of finding the children.
The other JD, who is sister to CD, has posted on her page.
They need to be looking for a man buying diapers and formula. They could even be sleeping in the mini van.

I have had the thought "If we can't be together here" Then let's go where we can be together for eternity. I hope I am wrong on that count. It is troubling that there have been no more sightings of them

I have the same fear.

I don't know what to think his motives are either: whether he is planning to get a little cabin in the sticks somewhere and set up housekeeping with this girl and baby, or whether he's trying to get rid of them and so hide the physical evidence of his paternity.

This much is true - this is the first couple generations where taking a 13 year old wife is a crime, especially in the Appalachian mountain area. Up until about 50 years ago, that was fine if the parents approved. Shocking to us now in this age.

Perhaps he wasn't aware that WVa changed their age of consent and age of consent to marriage laws a long while ago? I mean, West Virginia and Kentucky still occasionally are the butt of such "jokes" and stigma, even today ...
But even if he did believe this, therein lies a much more obvious problem: He's legally KD's father (via adoption) and I know of no state in the union having ever allowed something as egregious as what that would suggest. Back to square one. :sigh:

At one point KD did mention to another person in a reply something about driving through Tennessee...Pure speculation, though.

I hope they are found ASAP and baby and girl are in good health. I hope they don't have to suffer any longer than they've already endured and are rescued very, very soon! This poor 13-year old - life is so very cruel to some people. I just pray she gets through it all and can do a much better job for herself and baby than obviously was done for her.

Except he's adopted her (and sister) and thus he is legally her father and I'm unaware of any state ever having allowed that sort of matrimonial union, even out in the sticks.

I feel it's highly unlikely that cps will let her keep her baby. I am hoping that they didn't already imply that would be the case, and cause the teen to panic and run. I can see that happening though.
That agency is infamous for behavior that is akin to, "Doing brain surgery with a chainsaw". imo

I agree with this. I bet he is leaving her and the baby in the car while he runs into places. By now he probably has his beard shaved.

Not only his beard shaved but might have shaved his head as well or bleached/ dyed his hair.

I totally agree! It makes me sick. I watched the movie Precious one time, and it was one of the most upsetting things I've ever seen. I cried for hours - her mother let her father rape her from the age of 2 years old. She was laying right there and didn't stop him and was mad at precious because she didn't even cry. Precious is 16 and pregnant at the beginning of the movie, but then you find out this is baby #2, her grandma has been caring for the first one (who has Down syndrome - and they refer her to her as Mongo) she had a few years prior. By the end of the movie she has HIV from her dad. It's disgusting and horrifying. I never realized how often those things happen. I grew up in a pretty normal house and I guess I was just really naive. I can't believe the number of men doing this - and also the women that are either taking an active role (Victoria Martens "mother" or Heather Coon https://www.google.com/amp/fox8.com...-guilty-to-raping-children/amp/?client=safari) or burying their heads in the sand. It makes me want us to create a new Alcatraz that we could send all the sex offenders, murderers and animal abusers to so they can just abuse each other. No guards, just video cameras and electric powered fence. Once a week they could drop a load of new inmates and some spam.

My daughter is 26 and if she went missing, you can bet your boots I'd be out there on SM, in front of cameras and handing out flyers to every person with a pulse within a 500 mile radius... when I wasn't out searching for her myself, that is. Yes, she's 26 but that's my baby. I can NOT imagine having a missing 13 year old. And with a missing newborn.
With every hour that passes, I pray more and more that KD and baby will be found safe. I grow more concerned daily. The baby should be having his newborn checkup soon. And KD will be due for her postpartum follow-up in roughly 3 weeks.

Why the spam? Let them figure it out for themselves or grow their own food. Okay, so they can't grow meat. They can get spam air dropped once a month.....
