Chakib Mansour Khodja was arrested at O'Hare Airport on Friday as he returned from a trip to his native Algeria.

CBS Chicago has the video of Monday's press conference on their website. It was conducted largely by Chicago PD Superintendent Larry Snelling.
Some 'interesting' revelations. Khodja is charged with 5 sexual assaults, along with a plethora of other crimes. The rapist MO, in terms of how he approached/subdued varied across the cases: However, four of the cases are linked by DNA. Three were in the same immediate area (Logan Square.)
Two of the assaults occurred in the summer of 2022, about 2 miles apart; the other three took place in the early days of 2025.
A hiatus of 2 ½ years. That being too good to be true, I imagine that they'll be spending some time on determining what this guy was doing, and where he was during that period. (His living in Chicago dates to 2022.)
Happily, he's being held without bail awaiting his trial.
Supt. Snelling spoke quite compassionately about the victims: "These women survived something that is horrible and terrible. And it's something they will continue to live with for the rest of their days," Snelling said. "I want to acknowledge the strength and resilience of these survivors who were traumatized by these horrific crimes and actions."
And in the category of there's always someone, towards the end of the conference two reporters felt the need to ask questions about a completely unrelated matter regarding a handgun, which sounded more like a gotcha question than anything else. Because, you know, the conference was just about rape. (Mooo and </sarcasm)
