I just can't shake that I don't have a good feeling about this one. I hope I'm wrong.
Good spot!I hope I can say this here. In the second photo they are standing in front of buildings that comprise the Cook County Correctional Facility AKA Cook County Jail at 26th and California in Chicago. Also note the barbed wire atop the fencing. I'm just identifying the location.
My grasp clinging to hope is weakening, I admit.I just can't shake that I don't have a good feeling about this one. I hope I'm wrong.
Snipped for reference: Thank you for other reasons why. I've never tried it and I googled but it didn't give me the reasons like you went through, I saw muscle pain, injury and possible Digestive issues so apparently it is used for A lot of things. Thanks againAs for the accupuncturist. There are a lot of reasons for going. I started going to one in my 40's for help with general stress and sleeping (after menopause I was waking up constantly). It helped immensely, and until he retired I went weekly. The reason she may have gone could be sleep, stress, headaches, overall wellness. I do know, as far as where the office was located in relation to her home. had my accupunctist moved offices I would have happily driven 20 miles to see him, he was the best practitioner I had found.
Upon further sleuthing, I think this is totally unrelated, so pls DISREGARD.Looks like a police helicopter is doing some laps around a particular spot along the shoreline just south of Chicago.

I’ll be very interested to know where it was found as well.I would imagine that LE is going over her vehicle with a fine-tooth comb. Probably took it in to be processed.
I wish we would hear from LE.![]()
Missing Chicago Public Schools teacher Linda Brown's car found, husband says
The car belonging to a Chicago Public Schools teacher has been found, according to her husband, but she is still missing.www.cbsnews.com
•The car was found undamaged, but he would not say where it was found.
•Antwon said they do not track each other's phones, and there are no cameras in the front or back of the townhouse to know when Linda left or what she took with her.
Interesting. Which leads us back to who or what provided her physical description.![]()

Absolutely strange. I also want to share that this case has a rather large social media footprint. People are sharing this case A LOT. Despite that there don't seem to be family, friends or colleagues responding at all.Isn't this case rather strange? So far the only ones we have heard from are her husband and her sister (based on the information her husband has provided). Nothing from LE, friends, work colleagues, school, etc...
Welcome to Websleuths! Having a local (or former local) on a thread is always helpful.I grew up in Chicago, but haven't lived there for quite some time. I thought I might add some insight here.
I saw someone mention that the Wicker Park address was something like 20+ miles from her house. It's not. It's more or less 8 miles each way. Maybe 15 minutes on Saturday morning. I wouldn't imagine that there were a plethora of options for acupuncture in Bronzeville, so it kind of makes sense to go up there.
One thing to note, the neighborhood that the missing person lived in was not exactly what I would call one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Certainly not the worst, but not great. Things certainly could have changed a bit since I lived there.
The article states that the husband was going to go boxing the morning Linda left. He states that LB had taken a few months of leave from her job.![]()

It's noted that she disappears just as she was going to return to work after the leave (iirc). The article states that the husband was going to go boxing the morning Linda left. He states that LB had taken a few months of leave from her job.
"She has a little mental issues going on, and she took a leave of absence from her job to get help for that," he said. "As school was getting closer, it was kind of getting worse, like the anxiety, the panic attacks."
"The update now is we found the car, so that is a positive thing. We found the car, CPD towed it," he said.
