Found Safe IL - Magda 'Maggie' Saez, 30, Chicago, 5 June 2017

  • #21
I agree - she looked like she had someplace she was going to, and she was walking rather briskly as well. And yeah, what was in that huge bag? So, we know she left her cell phone (family was very specific in this regard) behind, but did she bring her wallet, or anything else? Also: Can someone verify her direction of travel? I've seen posts stating Saez traveled west over the river, but based on the CCTV footage it seems to me like she's walking west, and then south on Larabee.

It's on the Facebook missing page. She looks purposeful to me, very odd to bring a big bag like that and not a phone.

Latest update on the FB page says: "She is disoriented and not well."

I believe they said she also left her keys and cash. Not sure about wallet/ID. As far as direction, it's a little murky. This is what they reported:
"She walked west on Chicago from 700 N. Larrabeen St. and over the bridge"

Edit: just rewatched the video, looks to me like she was going north on Larabee then turned left on Chicago, and got at least close to the start of the bridge.

I wonder what Maggie's RN speciality is? That, as well as her impaired mental status, may impact where she would go for help if she went to a hospital. Working in the medical field, there is still so much stigma about mental health and substance use issues...

Not directly related to Maggie, but illustrates how people working in healthcare often feel forced to hide their MI/CD troubles, and it can have dire results (not just doctors, nurses encounter this, too!!!!)

Never heard of a stakeout surveillance for a MP... sounds odd, unsavory and potentially dangerous! They said she has a history of depression so shouldn't they also include any history of drug abuse? Also, seems like a drug meet up would require a cell phone? Not sure why she wouldn't have her phone in case of any emergency. That alone is ominous to me.

I have suspected that in many cases, people on a "drug run" may tend to leave phones (and wallet) at home. Just completeconjecture on my part. I have no data.

Maybe she had some food and water and a blanket in the purse? Hopefully she went off to think about things and they found her safe. That is my hope right now Maggie!

I have to assume they have a really strong lead to call off the search. The moderator of the facebook page said they are not sure or confirmed of anything yet though.

I just have to comment on Maggie's friends and family...what an incredibly caring and organized bunch of people. Praying Maggie has already been found and understands how supported she is. She is clearly a very special woman to have such intelligent and kind people love her.

The moderator on the page just reported that Maggie has been found safe in a location that they are aware of, but will not be disclosing to the public.

YAY!!!!!

Now just waiting on MSM confirmation...
