June 2013:

Schizoaffective disorder and paranoid personality disorder. And it sounds like she's in complete denial about it and blames her daughter's brutal death on the doctor who prescribed her antidepressants. If she's released, the first thing she will do is go off her meds, IMO. And I don't believe paranoid personality disorder can even be controlled by meds anyway. She's still very dangerous IMO.

Schizoaffective disorder is very difficult to treat, even with meds, and she will go off them if it's left up to her. JMO

Searched valiantly for a link to Little Magdalene's image. I found an article from 2012

I'm beside myself now, picturing things I shouldn't. No child should have to suffer this way!

Among those testifying Tuesday was Toby Watson, a psychologist who has examined Webber and reviewed her records. He said her diagnosis of a depressive condition with psychotic features was "in full remission"...

Watson acknowledged that dealing with the "emotionally needy" Webber could be taxing but said it did not change his opinion that she should be released.

Webber has said her long-term use of anti-depressant and anti-psychotic medication, and her abrupt withdrawal in 2010, brought on the break with reality during which she killed her youngest daughter, Maggie.

Webber has refused medication over the last four years.

Judge denies release for mom who slashed daughter's throat

http://www.dailyherald.com/news/20171113/judge-denies-release-for-mom-who-slashed-daughters-throat

DuPage County Judge George Bakalis on Monday denied Marci Webber's request for conditional release but said he will revisit it in six months. He also put a series of conditions in place to assist her with any future transition to freedom.

Bakalis ordered the director of the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center to establish a plan for her release. The conditions he laid out include transferring Webber from the acute care unit into the chronic care unit and for her to be granted unsupervised ground privileges for two months.

Bakalis said he'll reconsider Webber's request in about six months.

"The court must, however, be convinced at that time that both parties have, in good faith, worked toward petitioner's ultimate release," Bakalis wrote. "The court must be shown at that time that petitioner's mental illness remains in remission during this transition stage. The court must be shown that defendant's mental illness and alcohol abuse remain in inactive status when she has been in situations outside of the secured environment of Read."

DuPage judge cites lack of progress by mom who killed daughter and is seeking release from state mental health facility

A woman judged insane at the time she killed her 4-year-old daughter was in DuPage County court Thursday to complain that she had not been granted certain privileges at the state hospital where she is confined, but she did not find a sympathetic ear from the judge overseeing her case.

Marci Webber asked Judge George Bakalis to hold the Elgin Mental Health Center in contempt of court, but the judge declined and instead chided Webber for not fulfilling the responsibilities set forth in her treatment plan.

“I don’t see any progress,” Bakalis told Webber. “I see it going back the other way.”
