Police are currently investigating a missing person, Maria Pitu, age 54, who was last seen at her residence in Lincolnwood on December 3 at 5:30 PM. The missing person’s vehicle was located on the north side of Chicago near Peterson & Kedzie Avenues. There were indications that the missing person was despondent and may harm themselves. Lincolnwood Police are asking that if anyone locates the missing to call 911 of the Lincolnwood Police Department at 847-673-2167.

The body of a missing Lincolnwood woman was recovered from the North Branch of the Chicago River late Tuesday afternoon, about half a mile from where her car was found earlier in the week, according to authorities.
