He later pleaded guilty to a charge of concealing a homicide and was sentenced to four years in prison. Desiree Figueroa took a plea deal for 30 years in prison in exchange for testifying against Clarisa Figueroa if that case reached trial. It never did. The murderous mother took a plea deal for 50 years behind bars.
