Matthew was last seen at Mariano's located at 3358 West Touhy Avenue in Skokie, Illinois on 05/03/2020 (source: NAMUS). Some other reporting (such as CPD website above) had his location that he was last seen as the 2200 block of W. Rosemont in West Rogers Park in Chicago and his last sighting as on 03/07/2020. His vehicle, a 2009 black Nissan Altima, was located several months later, in the 7000 block of North Ridge Blvd, Rogers Park neighborhood, not far from his apartment. Chicago Police inspected the vehicle, no signs of foul play or criminal activity.

Little to no additional information can be found beyond what is stated above. He has not been seen since he was last spotted in early to mid 2020.

Age: 62 when missing, 67 now
Hair: Brown, Balding on the top of head, short on sides
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 190-195
Facial Hair: Has a goatee and mustache
Eye color: Brown
Distinctive Physical Features: Has a large tattoo of a compass on his back between his shoulder blades
Clothing: Was last seen wearing an arm length black/brown leather jacket, blue jeans, grey sweater.

There's nothing out there on this man, No arrest history in Cook County, no social media by him or about him, not a single appeal from family or friends looking for him. He was last seen in 2020 and not reported missing until 2023.

what does that signal to you? I wasn’t sure if it was that he was only reported missing in 2023, because there’s a new article from 2020 that says he’s missing so how would they know that info from CPD if the case wasn’t made yet? It could be maybe that he was reported missing again in 2023… but i’m not sure.
