IL - Missing teen found after escaping 2 year captivity, Washington Park

Johnson’s parents, Owida Johnson and Eric Vaughn, and brother, Eric Johnson, 35, escaped the fire, according to Iquiria Nichols, 20, who also got out, along with her two children, a 1-year-old and a 2-week-old.

Why is this the only information I can find about this family since 2012? Weird.

I know this case is from 2012.....but.....

I just want to say how very naive many are to the sex-worker/slave/trafficking situation.

I manage a large GYN office, and we see girls and young women every week (brought in to us to be seen at no cost for medical care) who have been removed from trafficking situations. They are girls from every walk of life.

They have all been mentally abused and manipulated to believe there is no way out. Many are purposefully offered addictive drugs so they are motivated "to work".

Really, there are many uninformed opinions on this (admittedly old) thread.

Sadly, her story is one of the most typical stories I've heard. Absolutely believable. :silenced:

Be thankful this is not a world you can wrap your head around.
