Oh, my, what a cutie, but she looks a bit overwhelmed, bless her. For me, she's at that "I just want to hug her" stage. Did someone just drop her off there? Was she with a parent/caregiver and something happened to that person?
I guess she'll go to foster care until someone comes to claim (horrible word, please excuse) her with proof. At least she will be in a safe place with a bed, meals, and -- hoping -- some TLC.
Let this end soon in a good, happy way.
Thanks for the thread, @imstilla.grandma.

I noticed there are two bus benches at the intersection of N. Central Ave. & W. Huron St. Hopefully they've checked bus cameras. You'd think a driver/passenger would notice a 4-y-o walking off the bus alone, but if she wedged herself b/w exiting passengers, she may have gone unnoticed.

I think the N. Central Ave. area is serviced by the 85 Central route. If so, here's the service schedule for that area. (I am not local. This info may not be correct.)

Someone really loves this little girl. She looks very well cared for.

Might have been so excited to get to the Big Kid Place called School, that she woke up early, got all dressed, and left the house to find it!

Yes, I, jealous of Big Sister, did that at age 4. Difference is, my Mom was already in the kitchen fixing breakfast, talked me out of it.

Apparently I had 11 Little Golden Books wrapped in a dishtowel....

Now that makes sense. Got dressed, got her school stuff, with which she had probably been playing "I'm at school now," and she decided to go, not wanting to be late. I certainly hope it was something like that. Also hoping she is happy, happy, happy to be home. And hungry, too! Such good news.

You and your Golden Books, @Laughing! I had 'em too. We were little readers 'way back then, weren't we? And we haven't stopped, but maybe with a bit more sophistication than, "Poky Little Puppy," but that was a book I read & read & read!!
