I wonder if it was Nancy Pexton's daughter that discovered the body of Jennifer Abbot?

She repeated her name and date of birth very softly. Asked to confirm her address, she murmured: 'Nowhere, at the moment.'

Her solicitor told the court she had no fixed address.

Deputy District Judge Lee Marklew told her: 'You've seen your advisor this morning. You will be before the crown court on Tuesday next week. You will meet you barrister than and receive more advice over the coming days. You need to bide your time. This is an administrative hearing.'

Earlier, the judge was told that Ms Pexton was 'very vulnerable', and her solicitor asked if she could be allowed to sit down during the hearing.

Is that a photo of the two sisters?

It's really awful that the neighborhood was a known area for drug activity. Seemed like a posh address.

"Posh address"??

With Council flats and
"dominated by crime leaving people 'frightened' "??

🤔

Camden is a typical if many parts of London. To live in a decent property, you're either wealthy or living in social housing. Many young professionals have to live in houseshares to afford to live in the area. There is no in between.

My mind is running wild with speculation! I hope this isn't one of those that takes ages to get to trial and we can get a just outcome, maybe even before the end of the year.

I agree roughly with your summary, but to be completely fair that's not true for people of Jennifer's age group. She was 69.

Do we know if she owned her property, or was in receipt of social housing, or let it on the private market? All these things are possible within modern council estates.

I think it also used to be much easier to get social housing than it is now too.

I have a feeling this is far from a simple 'robbery' . Once they managed to cover her mouth and contain the dog to 'ransack the house', why bother to stab her? Doesn't the stabbing feel personal?

How right you were.

They must have Nancy on CCTV entering and leaving that flat, or the area. Those estates are usually covered in CCTV.

Got to have - this strikes me as spur of the moment madness but who knows.

I think I have read somewhere that there is only 9 months difference in ages between them, Jennifer being the eldest.

''Nancy Pexton, also 69, appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court today, where she spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth. It is understood she is nine months younger than her sister.

Pexton, of no fixed address, wore a grey prison issue tracksuit at the short hearing.

She was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday 24 June.''
'Her Corgi dog survived after being locked in a toilet for 72 hours as Ms Abbott lay dead nearby, neighbours said.'

"That poor dog, he couldn’t even drink any water, it’s amazing he was even still alive.”

Massive speculation here:

It is of course just about biologically possible, but I wonder if they are half- (same father), step- or foster or adopted sisters. I personally strongly doubt that they will turn out to be full blood sisters. They are also age wise from the era where illegitimate teenage pregnancies were still obscured by grandmothers claiming their daughters’ children as their own and raising them as such.

There are also people who will introduce a person as their brother, sister, and (especially) “cousin”, who is no blood relation at all. And lots of people had their teenage friends move in due to things going on at their own homes, and been treated as part of the family forever ever after that.

I’m interested to know more about Jennifer Abbott, not wishing to speak ill of someone who has passed but I’m not sure whether the “Hollywood career” wasn’t rather a bit of a tall story for the neighbours, from someone who had spent a time living in LA. Lots of people make short films, get producer credit or have very minor acting careers, I think that’s as far as it went (nothing wrong with that and I hope Ms Abbott enjoyed it).

This is interesting in the most recent Sky news article:

"There has been an increased police presence in the area as detectives explore "several lines of inquiry"."

I wonder if this is still the case. If they have not located the watch yet, then perhaps they are still looking for another perp.
