Nicole E. Homer, 50, of New Lenox was reported missing Sunday.
She was last seen at her residence, which is located northwest of the intersection of Spencer Road and Joliet Highway.

There are some wooded areas off Joliet and the Hickory Creek Preserve a little ways west of her residence. Perhaps she went walking and got lost?

New Lenox woman missing, police say

Nicole E. Homer left her home in the 500 block of Karen Lane about 5 p.m., but family members did not know where she was heading or why she left, according to New Lenox Police Sgt. Louis Alessandrini.
Alessandrini said police have been actively looking for this woman, and have no indication of foul play other than the amount of time she has been gone.

Missing New Lenox Woman Found Dead in Frankfort

The body of Nicole Homer was found Friday afternoon in Frankfort.

My goodness, her niece just posted an hour ago about her still being missing. Hopefully family was notified before this hit the news!

I feel so much sorrow for her two living son's. How are they going to raise above losing a much loved brother, and now their mother. I'm so heartbroken for them.
