I did a double-take on that too. I initially thought it was an error in reporting. But since then, I saw some speculation that it was to allow time for his other trials, and this Chicago Sun Times article seems to suggest that could be the case. Kelly's lawyers apparently want to wait until after he's been sentenced in New York before moving forward with those cases, but they acknowledge that the prosecution probably wants the exact opposite.
