Collinsville man faces teen prostitution charges

A Collinsville man is facing teen prostitution charges in federal court after an undercover sting operation revealed he allegedly was making a missing teen work as a prostitute.

Reginald Williams, 27, of Collinsville, has been charged in St. Louis federal court with interstate transportation of a minor with intent to engage in prostitution


Williams is accused of posting an online ad featuring pictures of the girl and offering her services for commercial sex

On Sept. 12, Collinsville police received a report regarding a missing 16-year-old girl who was being forced to work as a prostitute.

According to testimony presented at trial, on September 12, 2012, Collinsville, Illinois police received a report regarding a missing 16-year-old girl who was being forced to work as a prostitute by one or several adult males...

Williams, from the Chicago, Illinois area, was convicted in March of one felony count each of interstate transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking a minor, attempted sex trafficking of a minor, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and use of interstate facilities to promote prostitution.

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A federal judge has sentenced an Illinois man to 20 years in prison for offering a 16-year-old girl for sex and attempting to prostitute a 17-year-old girl.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says 30-year-old Reginald Williams, of the Chicago area, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in St. Louis.
