DCFS: Mother fled with missing 3-month-old during supervised visit
Officials with the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services said Royalty's biological mother, 24-year-old Mikequera Randolph, was on a supervised visit with her daughter Monday when she allegedly fled with the baby.

Royalty came into DCFS care in April, officials said. DCFS is investigating the child's abduction and is working with authorities to help find the baby and her mother.

Another one? I think it is time to amp up the security for visits, since it is in the children's best interest. As well, as the safety for the DCF workers!

Who was supervising? Obviously there was not enough supervision. Although, I was a court appointed supervisor once, the first visit I supervised was two days later, I did, and everything went well, and two weeks after that first visit, with several more in between. I received a letter to tell me what my duties were. Two weeks!

It is scary what people will do these days! Times have changed and so the policies/practices need to evolve with them. For everyone's sake...IMO.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Friends of the foster parents of an infant believed kidnapped by her biological mother, will be holding a prayer vigil for the missing baby girl this Sunday, May 20, in Evergreen Park. There was a confirmed sighting of Randolph and the baby Tuesday in the JC Penney store at Ford City Shopping Center. Someone also reported seeing the mother and child on Friday, near 95th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Evergreen Park, although that sighting hasn't been confirmed. Evergreen Park police were not immediately available for comment.

Julianne Neely, who adopted Royalty's biological sister, said those close to the foster parents are very worried for Royalty's safety. They ask the community to continue sharing Royalty's picture and praying for her safe return. According to Neely, the foster parents have firsthand knowledge of how violent and unstable the birth mother can be.
