I was looking through the unidentified on NamUs & also perusing The Charlie Project and I came across a possible match with this Jane Doe. I think that Carla Mae Burns should be looked at as a possible match.

Carla:
reported missing March 8, 2016
was living in Harrisburg, Illinois (Saline Country)
49 years old
brown hair and brown eyes
5'4 (64 inches) and 125 lbs.

Jane Doe:
found March 16, 2016
remains found in Saline Country IL

Carla's estranged husband was charged with her murder 2 weeks after she was reported missing. Investigators believe that her husband shot her and burned her body--although her remains have never been located. According to NamUs no missing persons have been eliminated as a match.

Location, time and even manner of death points that it could be her. LE probably looking or looked into this, as both happened in the same Saline County. They are probably waiting with info for upcoming trial of husband in Jan 2018, in which he stands accused of murdering her.

PS: Carla's husband was arrested on March 16, the same day as this Jane Doe was found. I assume it might not be coincidence.

Good points. I noticed the UID profile lists DNA insufficient for profiling, but dental are available. It leads me to consider the possibility of dental work not being sufficient for a positive id. We see that sometimes when there is little to no dental work for comparison. Maybe they are awaiting advances in DNA technology for this one? It does seem odd though, that both hair and eye color could be determined, yet DNA was insufficient for profiling.

I recieved an email from DoeNetwork about this possible match. Basically, LE knows this Doe is Carla Burns and she should have been removed from NAMUS, but wasn't for some reason.
