Identified! IL - Schuyler Co., WhtMale torso found in Illinois River, Nov'16 John H. Frisch

Some stats:
This is DDP's first identification from Illinois.
Grundy County Jane Doe is their only other case from this state. She is close to being identified as well.
Peoria and Schuyler counties don't have any other Does on NamUs. The same is true for Grundy County.

I think this is the 3rd DDP id that I've seen in the past few weeks. They seem to be coming more quickly, like it's picking up steam. Thank you DDP volunteers for your excellent work.

My condolences to Mr. Frisch's loved ones.

Info from this article:
Skull, torso found along Illinois River identified

"Frisch has never been reported missing, but used addresses in Peoria and Hawaii throughout his life, according to Peoria County Sheriff's Office."

"Investigators are retracing Frisch’s days prior to his body being found. Mr. Frisch’s parents are deceased, and he has very limited family in the area."

I was looking for more photos of John Frisch and....I found like 10 more mugshots.....here’s one

Man whose remains were found in Illinois River killed a man in Hawaii in '02

"His police record, which lists multiple arrests in Peoria and Hawaii, includes a 2002 murder charge in The Aloha State, the sheriff said. Detectives continue to seek details about the case, which ended with Frisch serving just a year behind bars on a lesser charge.

According to the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Frisch was charged in January 2002 with attempted murder after beating a man at the Keehi Boat Harbor. The two had been drinking at the harbor before they got into an argument. Witnesses told police Frisch pushed the other man down near a boat slip, pounded the man’s head into the ground, then dragged him into the parking lot, where he punched the man in the face and head, the paper reported.

Frisch fled but was arrested an hour later aboard a boat in the harbor. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition.

However, victim died the next month, according to the Honolulu Advertiser. In September, Frisch was charged with suspicion of murder. No further information about the case was available from either newspaper."
