More Than 20 Years Later, Twin Hoping for Closure in Murder of Sister Sherry Lewis

It's a twin thing, Terry says. You always come back to each other.

It's truly spectacular, how connected you are to them," Terry Lewis-Foor told Dateline. "Every moment of your life, every big thing, they are there. So when they are gone, you truly feel the emptiness."

Friday marked 22 years that Terry has been without her twin sister Sherry.

It happened on August 5, 1994. Terry and Sherry, who had celebrated their 30th birthdays just three months earlier, had planned to meet up to attend the Decatur Celebration in Decatur, Illinois with a few other family members. The street fair is held the first weekend of August each year, and is filled with food, games and summer celebrations.

Sherry never met up with the group at the fair. Calls to her phone went unanswered.

Two victims in separate unsolved murder cases have not been forgotten, Sherry Lewis and Caleb Witty. Police are offering a $10,000 from an anonymous donor for each case for information that leads to an arrest or formal charges.

It's also worth looking into the murder of Charlotte Fimiano in Lower Saucon Township, Bethlehem, PA. At the time the police thought they might be connected. Both women were blonde real estate agents found strangled in properties that they had been requested to show. Both were of a similar age range and they even look slightly similar. Police were never able to formally connect the two cases, but it's worth taking another look. I'm attaching an article.

On August 5, 1994 thirty year old Sherry L. Lewis, a Decatur realtor, was found deceased in a Macon County residence that was for sale which she had an appointment to show. The family of Sherry Lewis is offering a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder.
