IL IL - The Unidentified Victims of John Wayne Gacy

  • #561
You may want to submit these tips to Sheriff Dart in IL.

I hope I am wrong but it looks like, since 2021, they have stopped even trying to identify these victims. They have the DNA for them and have even established a partial family tree for Body 28. I wish Othram would take these cases on. You could bet good money they would identify at least four of them, given their track record of success.
Was he in California

Wondering about something. Have always been positive Gacy has victims from when he was traveling for the Jaycees. So this would be like mid to late 60s, and early 70s (excluding his time incarcerated in '68/'69). He also traveled for his construction business, so... out of state victims for other timeframes wouldn't be out of the question, either. But I've seen a couple of cases where bikes are left behind in MP cases, nobody has a clue as to what happened to these young guys, it's like they vanished into thin air, bikes left behind near bodies of water, the MPs are around the same age, timeframe is quite close on when these disappearances occurred. And in these particular cases, these are states where Gacy's known to have traveled, New Jersey and Minnesota. These would be around mid-60s. Also of note, there are pretty significant Jaycee activities relatively near where the disappearances occurred that might draw a more out-of-state crowd in roughly around the time of the disappearances.

And then, there's another case, but this involves a murdered Doe, Daytona Beach 1972, 11-14yo, found stabbed to death in a pond, circumstances with clothing make it appear it involved a sexual assault. Schwinn bike found near the Doe, the bike had been stolen a few days prior from New Smyrna Beach. (Gacy is also known to have traveled to Florida.)

So all these cases involve either a missing or murdered young man, bike left behind near body of water. For one of the boys, there's a gun involved, the gun's never been found, the boy was on his way to go hunting.

Gacy had a lot, lot of badges, they looked like police badges, and he had attached spotlights to his car, in the timeframe I read about he had a dark sedan, so this looked like a police vehicle. He also had some red emergency light he could put atop the roof of his vehicle. Someone noted he'd done this cop ruse in at least one instance, but he came back saying no, whole thing was consensual, and the case wasn't pursued by the state.

So... Say Gacy's on the road with his car and his badges and his spotlights. In early morning hours, or maybe late at night, out in some fairly remote area, he sees a boy on a bike. Say he pulls up near the bike, beckons to the boy to move to the side and stop, flashing his badge. The boy complies, and Gacy starts inquiring about the bike, whether it's stolen or not. Bike theft was rampant in the 70s. Or say the boy has a gun, Gacy might start asking if the boy is supposed to have that gun, be carrying the gun in a certain way, has a hunting license...? So now, maybe he's going to be driving them to "the station," just a routine thing...? What really makes me wonder on this is that two of the three cases-- good brand bike, maybe unusual, expensive bike. (Just checked and in one of these old model police sedans, they could fit a standard size bicycle.) In the third case, a gun. Someone might actually believe these are legitimate stops. It would be "believable." And the Daytona Doe-- that Doe was stabbed. Gacy's supposed "first" victim was stabbed. Oh, it was a misunderstanding, Gacy thought the boy had been coming at him with a knife, but really the boy had just been setting the table for breakfast. I don't believe one word of any of it. And I wonder if stabbing is what Gacy was into before he set up shop in his house of horrors. He'd stop once he was killing in the house to avoid blood evidence (obviously speculation).
