My name is Todd and I am Veronica's brother. First of all, thanks to everyone who is concerned about finding her. I have seen links to her Facebook on here, but I also have made a full website for her as well. Here is a link:
http://toddblumhorst.wix.com/veronica . This page has a lot of early articles and what we have done to search for her from the paranormal to canine cadaver dog searches.
I wanted to ask for your help and some ideas on the cadaver dogs and searching for an old grave in a wooded area with ground radar. There was a location that I always had strange feelings when I went there and several paranormal and weird events have happened here before when I was there or when I had "ghost hunters" working on her case (their videos are on her full website under The Paranormal Investigation)
In September of 2012 I secured a volunteer organization who used cadaver dogs. They went to the boyfriend's old home (nothing there) and then these woods. The dogs (2 canines) both indicated in two areas of these woods; one of the dogs were nationally certified the other had been prior but due to the handler getting an injury it was not currently certified nationally.
This past Sunday (06/02/13) they took three dogs (2 nationally certified) and hit in one of the areas again. She said they were extremely interested in this area. Ironically, it is the same spot where the heavy paranormal videos were taken. You will see me in a 2010 video getting touched- it is this spot.
I have a bad relationship with the police handling her case. They made many many errors early on in the case. It has been years since I have even heard from them. I did call them Monday and gave him the information we had, the Lt. sounded optimistic. There is an FBI agent as well that is on her case, I also let him know to ensure the information was followed up.
I just want information that would be helpful to me to make sure they are doing what they need to do in her case. Does ground penetrating radar work well in areas with dead underbrush? I have photos of the woods if you wanted to see what it was like in there. I think 5 cadaver dogs focusing on one area is a great indication from all I have learned about their work. What do you all think? Credible? It has now been 23 years almost, I just want to find her remains. We know she is gone. She needs justice.
We know who did it as well, but since there is no body, then no crime happened. This spot that the dogs indicated would make total sense for him to dispose of her there. It is close to the farm he lived on at the time.
Posting things as i think of them. So please don't respond until you see DONE EDITING in the edit box.
From your link i assume she left behind her purse and the video she rented before she left the store? And her keys? Where they there?
Found my answers but mentioned nothing about the car keys?
from the doe network...
Blumhorst left work at Super Value Grocery Store, her vehicle, a blue 1989 Chevrolet Corsica, was found parked in the garage of her residence just four blocks away from her place of employment the following morning but her boyfriends class ring, the video, her purse and work smock have never been recovered.
I may find the answers as i continue. If I do i will edit the above it able to.
Any surveillance video from the store?

I just finished watching the paranormal videos. All I have to say about that is sometimes the one being looked for, is not the one that will be found. For there are others that want to come home to. They should ask to speak to others that have been in that realm longer, and ask them to help find the one there looking for. The elders as i refer to them have been there awhile and understand how things work from that realm. Someone whom has not been there for an extended period of time my not on there own be able to communicate on our level, and this is where the elders come in.
The search in 2012 with the dogs, are they searching the same woods as in the paranormal videos?
Theories abound as to whether her disappearance may be connected to other cases around there.
So she gets home, parks in the garage, gets out locks the doors, close the garage door has with her her purse video and keys and instead of going in the house she leaves with someone. The other worker at the store, i did-not see it mention she seen your sister chatting with any one in the lot before leaving. Since they both left at the same time, one would assume she was followed home the four blocks by someone, or someone was already at her house knowing what time she was getting off.
If there was a struggle seems she would have dropped something. But nothing was reported being found. Even to this day those items are still missing. I know whom is suspected of this, though has not been charged with any crime.
But your not posting for the WHO, WHAT and WHY. But the WHERE.
They did a good job in searching over the years, and found no items scatter here or there as far as we know. Nothing that would indicate a direction of travel. Its my hunch, you find her you find the items missing, because there all together in one place.
If this was premeditated, I have not read anywhere about a possible motive. What motive would one have to make her disappear without a trace? What could she had done to become missing?...If she is buried, a plot was dug before her disappearance.
Are there any cemeteries around there at the time?
Where they checked to see if any fresh graves were there when she became missing.
I posted before about this on another case, That some killers would find a fresh grave and remove the top layer of it and place the body inside and cover it back up and no one would notice a thing. Its a good way to hide a body if you have the time to dig at night with the intent of putting someone in it very shortly so not to be discovered.
If they have not, I would take those dogs that snif for remains and take them to the cemeteries arouind there and see if they alert to anything. Let the dogs snif her clothing etc, incase they may pick up on the items that were never recovered also.
