Well, since you said only the uncle - there's no possible way that DCFS could be contacted judging only by the uncle's story, because the uncle did not tell his story until Monday. DCFS was called on Sunday.

And more than likely called in by LE, as standard procedure--especially since they thought it was a "walk-away" based on the first story told by family members....CYA

Anything we see on FB is off limits, correct? I think I am misunderstanding that rule because I've seen a lot of stuff posted from FB.

Any person, mother/brother/uncle/grandparent, who lies to LE during the course of an investigation, when their loved one goes missing, should be sitting in jail. Period! LE relies on relatives to provide accurate information to bring THEIR loved one home. Those searchers put their lives in danger, some were hospitalized, due to their self-less effort to bring Willow home safely. They didn't even know Willow, yet the Mom didn't find it necessary to be truthful? I have no words and maybe that is a good thing. :furious: It should be criminal to lie to LE, oh wait, it is.

It's one thing to go out (who cares), another thing to fall asleep (who cares), but when you LIE to LE when your baby is missing, different ballgame. What is wrong with people?

When you lie, you are doing it to cover your own behind, and you KNOW you did something wrong. Geez..even my kids learned that at a very young age.

I don't know if anything else will come out, but someone should be sitting in jail for lying to LE. JMO

Yes, you can discuss it. But what is different about this article? Because it says mom is under investigation? I'm not surprised, but at this point no results of the investigation have been reported.

Ok. Thanks. I was just getting caught up and wanted to make certain we could discuss it. And...you are correct. The only thing different is that mom is under investigation, but, that seems pretty par for the course given the situation. I would think it is very prudent for LE to do so. Considering how much everyone was aghast that the are not looking at mom or at least mom's story, we should all be happy...LOL. The whole situation is awful all around.

Things I learned on WS in the last couple of days:
- my toilet paper rolls have numbers :what:
- watch out around objects like recorders, rulers, twigs, and pencils
- kitty litter can be used to make meth :what:
- kitty litter can be put in a trash bag to weight it down in water
- search dogs can be perfectionist about their jobs:beagle:

:laughcry: Oh, goody, I have two empty toilet paper rolls in the trash. Wait here....

042813 NAH CMAG2 1208 on one, but the other one was blank because it was a no name roll

AngelWings- The mom did lie, well we can assume, it's still possible that the whole timeline that JD gave was a lie and the probable case statement was essentially his story. It could be that she didn't lie and Justin did.

That said I do think she lied to LE, and it was wrong but it doesn't make her a horrible person. At that point she probably didn't fathom it was her brother and thought that maybe she just left the house. She was most likely relaying Justin's story to police about the breakfast. She didn't want to be judged as she is now for being out all night or not checking on her kid when she came back to the house whenever that was.

If she had told the Cops that she last saw them at 10pm before she went out, they still would have most likely gone on the brothers story of having last seen her at 8:45.

The Cops are going to go based on the story of the person that saw her last not necessarily when the Mom saw her last.

I just hit on a big point that I want to state again in case my last paragraph didn't make sense.

Let's say that CD just tells the truth to the cops? Does that change the search? Do they assume foul play or do they just base there search on the person who would say they last saw her which would have been Justin. He can very well give the same story. Ciara was out so I set them up with a movie and got them breakfast and then went into my room to nap before work.

what ? Kitty litter can be used to make meth?

Now I am on a list .. I just bought 6 bags of it in a few days because I don't always run to the store that often and I seemed to be needing dump trucks of it because I recently went from 0 to 3 cats in about one minute.

It depends on which FB. If it's not one which has been approved, then the answer is no, and you cannot even link to it.

If you have concerns about a post, use the alert the feature or pm a mod. Questions about the rules should be sent to a mod in a pm.

And while we're on the subject:

Attacking WS Moderators & Administrators:
Posting a thread to comment on, question, or criticize moderator or administrator action is not appropriate in a public forum. As long as you bring up your concerns maturely and civilly to the moderator or administrator in question, we will do our best to address your concerns fairly and promptly.

Here are the “Dos” and “Don’ts” of addressing your concerns to moderators or administrators:

Do be civil and polite. Bring up your concerns in a mature and respectful manner. If you are contacting us because you violated forum guidelines, be adult enough to admit your mistake. If your ID has been locked for some reason, talking politely to us about it in private, via e-mail or private message, can get your ID reinstated in many cases.

Do not be derogatory or insulting towards us. You will not get what you want by name calling or bashing us.

All we ask is that you treat us the way you would want us to treat you. If you treat us with respect, we will do the same for you.

Realize that a lot goes on behind the scenes. If you are thinking to yourself "Those moderators are either total idiots or they know something I do not", it's safe to assume we know something you do not.

Thanks! Hadn't seen these photos before. CSI is definitely looking closely at the pile. So we don't know what they found!!

eta... he could have tried to wash away the blood with water... but IMO wouldn't have gotten it all. I tried with the sheep incident....not all washed away. In fact, most didn't...

Cool water would actually cause it to clot sooner IMO.
Hot water might not.

Fact is, it wouldn't be the same story! If Mom told the truth from the beginning, LE would not have been sent on a while goose chase! They would have immediately questioned Justin, never let him go to "work". They may have searched the home more throughly. She impeded an investigation. There is NO way I would lie to LE if my child ever went missing. It's imperative for LE to have the TRUTH!

At the end of the day, it wouldn't bring Willow back! Sadly. However, the searchers and LE were put at risk. God only knows how much evidence was destroyed at the house, in the yard, cars etc. Just a small example, they surely would have found the nightshirt in the home right away if they knew the truth.

It DOES matter! I am sick and tired of these parents lying to LE in these missing children cases. It makes me sick! I would die for my child. I would tell the absolute truth, no matter what the consequences to me would be. Liars don't get passes in my house, and they surely shouldn't get a pass when their child is missing. Period. Maybe when LE starts rounding up the people who lie (Cindy Anthony comes to mind), then people might start spilling the truth. JMO, MOO, and :twocents:

I don't think the search would have been any different at all. Missing persons cases aren't based on when the Mother last saw the child. It's based on when and where the child was last seen. I'm also sure that both adults in the house were instantly suspects in the LE eyes but they also had to play it out like a runaway case.

No matter what CD said the cops are first going to go on the assumption that Willow walked out of the door on her own at 8:45.

The searchers would be at risk anyway because no matter the adult that was lasted stated as seeing Willow they are going to play it out like a missing persons case or a runaway case at the very least until they have/find enough evidence or proof that it's something more than a girl just leaving.

I guess kitty litter is a lot like fertilizer?
Wait that is for making bombs.

Eww and the clumping litter gets all slime when wet.
I heard a rumor it's made from dried cow drool???
TMI?
OK carry on.
I needed some levity for a second.
We do learn something new from every case.!
Somethings that don't even relate...
BUT ya live ya learn!

Bless you Willow!

Simply not true. LE conducts their search based on when the victim was last seen. This would have been the previous night. Huge difference! Minutes make a difference, so do hours.

I don't think LE believed for once second that Willow ran away. Certainly, if they had known she was missing the night before, it would have change their investigation. Why lie if you didn't do anything wrong? How can you lie to LE when your child is missing. She does not get a pass from me. Any expert would tell you that it makes a huge difference. EVERY detail matters.
