And DCFS was notified on Sunday, and it wasn't "standard procedure". They were called regarding possible *abuse* in the home...on Sunday.

[Edit] Just to clarify and reiterate - they were called on abuse allegations on Sunday, you know..the day everyone thought she was busy chasing that frog.

Most likely called by LE....as would be Standard Procedure in a case like this. Your heart is so pure...

I think it's quite possible and not surprising if child protection was called by bio-dad and/or his family. I would expect they would be concerned for NG as family, knowing he was caught up in the midst of a missing child investigation.

I still am very PO'd...regardless.

If DCSF was called on Sunday by someone who was reporting suspected abuse in the home (which has already been established and released), then why was everyone still being told Sunday that they were looking for a child chasing a ruddy frog? AND, if someone had the knockers to call DCSF on Sunday to report suspected abuse in the home (when DCSF never had anything to do with the D family prior to that) then why didn't this "abuse in the home" person pick up the flipping phone and call the police with this report, so the police could immediately change from "willow's chasing a frog" to "something might have happened to willow".

FISH

LE can't not reveal their hand in most of these cases. If they suspected someone early on they would not say so. Since obviously one of those suspects were family they needed to maintain the trust of the family with the ruse that they believed she walked out of the house. We see this happen over and over in these cases, and it works. The family thinks the police believe them and basically the police are just giving them more rope to hang themselves. Don't take offense just because LE doesn't tell the public what they know, like I said this happens ALL the time.

It's standard procedure for police to say that Willow is chasing a frog and in the same breath (same day) call DCFS and report that they believe there is abuse in the home? I thought it was standard procedure to call DCFS and tell them of Willow's being missing, so they are aware there is another child (her brother) in the home...but not throw an abuse report in there.

The call to DCFS was abuse.

Thank you for your compliment about my heart being pure but it's really not, people with pure hearts don't have really bad thoughts of what they would like to do to another person (JD). [Edited to reword]

Can you post the link the the article that mentions what the DCFS call was about?

I'm sorry Scadder I thought I did.

I think it is possible that the little boy can communicate better than the family wants us to think. For that reason it is good for him to be out of the home so the family cannot convince him what he did or did not see, and also to give LE time to figure out what's what.

How is this even possible if she was murdered on Saturday night? Unless someone hear her screams?

Or someone assumed it based on the fact that Willow was missing at that time. Or the 3 year old being left alone and someone saw Justin leave the house knowing that CD still hadn't arrived home.

Cool water, or mostly any water would cause the individual blood cells to swell and burst.

Yeah I guess a hose pipe would do that in the dirt.
The most I have ever cleaned was a tube that spilled in a lab or in the labor and delivery room. . Hot water made it stick to the surface and cold made it clot so removal was easier.
Detergents seemed to break it up quicker than just water but bleach made it really slimy.
Once OSHA instituted clean up guidelines my life got easier!
We did use granular stuff for larger spills.

Wouldn't CSI still be able to see it with luminol? Even if it was wiped up?
I dunno.

Once again...us very rural folks have brush piles to be burned in fall/winter... We have to keep up with acres of land every year...Yes some of us dump our cleared brush/kitty litter(I use the pine stuff for my cats)/combustibles/leaves/farm crap type stuff on these piles....then we set them on fire once the all clear for "open burning" is given (by officials). I personally use a composting system AS WELL as a slash/brush pile system...but in a homestead/ rural setting its pretty much up to the landowner--city folk have a hard time understanding places that don't actually have "curb-side trash/leaf/brush pick up"....I don't even have a curb...nor does my town of <1000....
(Posted only for perspective)

No curbs! Well, how do you know where to park? :floorlaugh:

I love when you talk about where you live, sequek9. It's so darn interesting to hear what it's like other places. We don't burn trash much but there's plenty of fires going on here in California.

Okay, I've had twig piles on city property and I actually love to bundle it and tie it up. Anyways, I would not keep it so uncontained and close to the walkway area.

Everybody on here has had these terrible stories about kids being impaled and toddlers can be very clumsy. Hate those emergency accidents, in general. So, I'd keep all those twigs in safer contained area as a child safety measure.

That's my own opinion on the placement of twig piles. :giggle:

I would hope they would skip DCFS and go straight to the police if they heard her screaming, my goodness :(

I simply disagree with you. I believe JD told CD the story about the breakfast because that is when JD said he saw her last.

I believe the cops have already said the red flag was raised on Justin when he decided to go to work rather than help look for his niece. I don't think the Uncle saying that he saw her at 8:45am would have made him any more of a suspect than Mom saying she saw her at 8:45am.

I do agree it may have been much quicker to sort out if Mom wouldn't have confused the story with the 8:45 thing and the Uncle did say 8:45 and then still choose to go to work so quickly after last seeing her. Essentially, the CD's lie probably had a negligable effect and I doubt it would hurt the States chance to prosecute JD.
RBBM: "Confused the story"?? MOM LIED!! She should have told LE that she went out, Justin was babysitting and she came home and fell asleep without checking on the kids.

This is not a simple white lie, this is when her daughter went MISSING!

Had Mom told the truth, LE would have been questioned Justin from the beginning. They would have throughly searched the house, they probably would have found more evidence, and he potentially could have confessed.

There is NO excuse for Mom lying. Period. Unless, she might have something to hide. From what I have learned in all my living years, if someone LIES, they are covering up something they don't want others to know. So, what didn't Mom want LE to know? Hopefully, it's just that she went out that night and didn't check on the kids when she came home. Still, she should be held accountable.

:moo:

Hmmm. I wonder... Is it possible someone heard something and upon hearing a child was missing made the call?
In my areaa weekend call goes to voicemail and we are told to contact the police.
I doubt I will ever hear, but I am curious!

I still don't know why the father of missing Isabelle Salas couldn't live with his other two children for months; or why Baby Lisa Irwin's parents got to keep there other kids in the home. Some things will remain a mystery forever too.

I'm 100% believing Gramps (sorry if you disagree). I believe what he said, that she would NEVER leave the yard by herself, and that he believed it was an abduction, and that she would NOT leave unless it was with someone she *knew*. I don't believe for a second that she ran away before. That was one post on FB by an attention-seeking pot stirring fool who said "Oh yeh, she ran away and walked all the way to Effingham" - and it went viral from there.

...yet her mother, of 7 years...said Willow must have run off to chase a ruddy Frog.

Fish I tell you...fish.

BBM

I thought it was LE who thought she was possibly enacting the movie and went off on an adventure. But now it's the mom? Do you have a link?

Bumping :bump:

MOD NOTE: Unless, and until, MSM reports on previous abuse of WL and her little brother, that discussion is off limits.
http://www.kmov.com/news/local/Brot...ken-into-protective-custody----223496771.html

http://www.thexradio.com/news/78-lo...ng-s-3-year-old-brother-in-protective-custody

At this time there is one suspect. Maintain focus on him.

Speculation about why the mother was untruthful is okay, but don't make allegations of her involvement in killing WL.

The grandparents are completely off limits.
