Initially I contacted the FBI and they took my statement and said that they were not a first response, and I was told to contact the PD closest to the residence. I did meet a little resistance from the dispatcher which told me to contact the FBI. Le did agree to meet me and I showed them the photos then they proceeded to follow me to the Residence. They were quite intrigued and collected some evidence. I was told if they needed more information they would contact me.

-What did the mask you found resemble? I just wonder if it was symbolic of an assumed identity he may have used in the past?
The other question is regarding the distance between this basement and the tunnels?

I do know what they collected but do not know if they done a further search. This is private property south of BC's residence. It was an empty residence that was for sale but looked abandon. The residence is not located near the tunnels but about 5 or 10 miles away.

They did spend a little time looking around however I was informed they could not enter the residence without a search warrant. The mask was collected because it was in the garbage. Neither myself or Le new what type of mask this actually was, very weird.

The mask looks like a mask for radiation treatment for cancer. For ex:

Edit to add: it looks like the one in OP's pic has bolts on the side, which would confirm it's a radiation mask MOO

I found nothing on Google Reverse image for mask and nothing on tin-eye either.. but may be worth further searches
What material is mask constructed from.. it looks to be metal, feels mediaeval.. but I realise it could be soft?

That, I have no idea. But I'm pretty sure it's a radiation mask, whether it was used for nefarious purposes I have no idea :-/

I agree, my sister unfortunately has one of these for receiving radiation for her glioblastoma. It's not exact, but very similar.

Surely LE would contact the previous occupant of the home to see if the mask was disposed of by them. I don't know if such a mask is given to a patient to take home once their treatment is finished. If not, how are they disposed of and how could BC obtain one?

There is no evidence that it was anything to do with BC.
it certainly is an interesting find, however.
radiation masks are soft, made from tensile, this thing still looks like metal. I did look further in bdsm catalogues and could not locate anything like it.
What was it constructed from?
Its possible somebody died and their stuff was just chucked in various dumpsters.. may not have belonged to the house at all. I would have reported it too.
