Well, I know I certainly requested reports from Chinese media because we are receiving no information here.
Its easy to check whether source is reputable or not, just google search reputation.
But whether its accurate or not it has led to a new conversation.. her parents are returning home without her very soon.
Its also a last ditch effort to think of places that could still be searched..and to gain more local information.
Nothing has been lost and I still want to see and will welcome more reports from Chinese media in this regard.
The smallest clue might just remind somebody of something researched in the past, particularly the first few threads here.. enormous work and effort..

I previously alerted mods so it must be a credible source as it has not been deleted by them. YW0403 also provided the media name and more info too. And I agree it has led to good discussion.

Actually, I put a little more stock in this info now, as I went back and translated the entire article this info came from. It wasn't Zhidong Wang, The Zhang lawyer, relaying this info. It was a Chinese National investigator who worked with the FBI on the case. Wang and this investigator were presenting info on the case at a forum in China at the university where Yingying got her masters degree. It makes sense that he might know some of this info.

Regarding cameras for dumpsters - it's becoming fairly common because people who want to avoid paying for trash pick up try to use apartment building and business dumpsters. It ends up costing the people paying for it more. And if there is recycling and people put things that aren't allowed in it (such as large electronics) then whoever maintains those dumpsters incur the cost of proper disposal. I don't know how it works where you live, but in the US individuals pay for their own trash pick-up unless they live in a complex where trash pickup is included in rent or fees. Basically, it's a financial issue.

Thanks for info re smartphone.. I had no idea..But, its also possible he removed it because he was disposing of her very close to home.
The window hours is too non specific but it may still be a clue.
Re wife missing him- they had an open relationship which I assume meant they tended not to miss each other.
The old building is on his way to the gym,the gym was his only fixed habit in life, it seems.. Would have been easy enough to slip in and out of the old factory and easy to explore it and find hiding places too..
Re phone- I suspect he had a few.
re him taking her back to his apartment- thats what he allegedly said on the alleged wire tap.. it was enough to obtain an arrest warrant but its possible it was not the full story and its possible it was not any of the story.. Ditto re the struggle.. Its hard to make anything of it without hearing i his tone of voice- whether the struggle actually occurred or he was merely bragging..

I am fascinated by what the Chinese person told you regarding the theory of killing several women of different ages.
I want to take that and shine a microscope on it because I want to understand his logic..
you know his game name and at least one of his dating or fetlife names was Akumo-- meaning Devil..
We did some work and searches on his possible involvement in occult or black magic practices.. nothing stood out.. but always felt as though he was involved in something.. had delusions of his own spiritual elevation and a sense of graduations to this end..
so , i am wondering whether the theory of the multiple women of various ages fits into this narrative..

Our rubbish is collected from our houses or flats as part of our local council tax charges. Usually split into recyclables and non such.
When we were discussing cameras I just wondered why noone mentioned dumpster cam as being normal?

Personal disclaimer: I am a sex positive person with no issues with fetish communities. I also defend art and music like no other... in this context though, no beuno.

The following details are from Brendt Christensen’s Fetlife profile, username Akuma689. I believe this gives much insight into his interests and possible motive for the kidnapping and probable murder of Yingying. Of particular interest is the themed groups (abduction, ropes/chains bondage, fear, domination, BDSM, etc) he was a member of. I did not enter the vast majority of these groups. I also did not find any posts made by BC, but it's possible that the search function doesn't allow to search by user or that he was a lurker. I did see some social interaction between he and other members local to him, I've redacted that content from my screen shots for their privacy.

I viewed this site in the wee hours (PST) of July 1st, so keep that in mind when reading “24 days ago” and other time references. Given that I don't know what time zone Fetlife is in, the dates could be +/- 1 day as I was there between midnight and 1 am.

I had mistakenly assumed that Zhidong Wang had relayed the info stating that they believe she was killed 5 hours after the kidnapping, and that she disappeared from view after 15 seconds, etc. Instead it was the other guy who also made a presentation at the conference. I used Google translate on this, and it actually worked reasonably well for once.....

It’s not a credible source. I’m speaking as a journalist of 20-plus years. There are no original sources in that story, no linked sources, and major facts aren’t attributed. It’s a (poorly done, journalistically, tbh) blog-style rewrite from other stories with unsubstantiated details added that aren’t by corroborated in other msm news reports or sources. It doesn’t pass the sniff test.

Your original post, iirc, discussed how his POSTS TO FETLIFE showed an escalation. They do not. All his interests seemed to be added at the same time. More violent or subversive interests — escalations — didn’t occur over time, according to his fetlife profile. There isn’t much of a timeline there at all. There’s just a long list of things he added “two months ago” (relatively speaking, of course).

Is that a problem for you and if so do you have a better idea for learning about how China is dealing with the horrific and brutal slaying of one of their citizens?

Looking for things that adhere to our tos might be the most helpful for everyone, IMO. I can’t imagine the only source available in all of China is that one blog link. MOO of course
