I can't bare to think too far ahead on this but it's bound to cause more stress each and every day. The young brother there too, he's going to find this extremely difficult to sit through.

I haven't given much thought about Jury selection, I've spent days in a whirlpool of heartache for her family and how they must be feeling.
Heart in the right place @altojack!
Here's a link to the most recent 11 tweets about the jury selection. This guy is doing good work

I don’t know, but I think the only way he could get a deal is if he can lead them to her body.
It came to me one day as I was thinking about YY, I'm wondering if it isn't possible for BC to tell them where she is, even if he wanted to. Perhaps the way he disposed of her makes it an impossibility. That might also explain why there have been no searches. It was just a thought. MOO

it is possible, and it is likely.

I've run out of ideas of how he disposed of YY, the same ideas come up t8me and again, SOoooo, I'm just going to wait patiently (if I can) and hope we get the answer.

I'm back to the dumpster theory. Recall his Fetlife, I think, profile where he expressed a fear /phobia of dumpsters.
Now assuming his attendance at counselling was part of his plan , blaming the loss of his marriage on his bankrupt morality and urge to 'kill someone', while all the time, he was really indulging himself in extramarital engagements... is it possible his alleged fear of dumpsters was also a lie?

Law enforcement has searched for her over the past two years, and in a docket filing earlier this year, they make it clear that he has not told them where her remains are or what he did with them. The only thing they seem to know is that he dismembered her, as that was mentioned in another recent court filing.

That said, her parents were willing to trade life in prison for her remains, so the fact that he didn't make that obvious deal -when they were having plea deal discussions- suggests exactly what you say. He knows they want the remains, and it very well may be that he knows he can't give them the remains: Either because he destroyed them completely; or because he disposed of them in a way that they were scattered; so now not even he knows where they are.

Remember, one of the items in the exhibit list the government submitted is a maintenance request for his apartment dated June 13, 2017. I wonder if this will shed some clues....

Geez, have I forgotten already!?... I thought the earlier court filing hinted at the possibility that he had dismembered her, but was NOT at all definite? But you're saying it was the firm conclusion?

Kitty, a good point about dumpsters, but, if he had a thing about them wouldn't make a difference unless you think he had climbed into one with YY in his bag. Many moons ago I thought of dumpsters, but that BC had dropped bits here and there in various dumpsters. Eliminating the need to climb inside.

It's possibly he lied about his dislike, he could have climbed in and covered his bag with the carp dumped in there already. Yukkkkk.

The way they stated it it seemed like they were sure he dismembered her, but they did not discuss the issue. It was one sentence in a filing that was just stating what they claim he did. It may come simply from his statements to TEB or another informant.

IIRC, it’s not dumpsters that he dislikes or is afraid of. It is garbage disposals.......

Yes, I remember but what on earth could he want them for? To give the flat a deep clean after he had finished his cleaning? Oh, oh noooo. Is it possible, no, surely not. Could he have flushed many, many small pieces down the toilet and wanted the maintenance crew to do a full on commercial flush down the system. I hated writing that.

I must go back and read where it said about dismembering her body. Right now I don't recollect seeing that, I am tired however lol.

Just incase he falls in and gets crunched up. I don't remember his dislike or fear of them either, but thanks for the correction. Nothing more to add.

From unsealed docket entry 264:

The defendant’s assertion – that the University of Illinois Counseling Center’s alleged failures in providing him mental health services mitigates the appropriateness of a death sentence for his intentional kidnapping, sexual assault, murder, and dismemberment of Ying Ying Zhang – is meritless.2

It looks like they know that he dismembered her after death -most likely to facilitate disposal of her remains

Here it is. Entry number 264. They only mention it and don’t delve de3per into it. Whatever the case may be, they don’t just pull things out of their asses for the hell of it. For them to state this, the must have some evidence for it. It may be nothing more than statements to TEB; it may be substantially more. Whatever the case may be, it will be up to the jury to decide if he did it or not based on what they present and what the defense counters with.

agreed, I almost wish they hadn't come here to witness the trial, it is going to be so devastating for them... a few days ago it was reported that YY's mom still believes she is alive and wants BC to tell where... I don't see how she'll get through the cold testimony to come. :(

Oh, dear. My heart breaks for that poor lady.
