They must have been some seriously scary dudes to keep people from utilizing space they were in. Is this normal with homeless people, does anyone know? I would think it natural to stay away from the bad eggs, but I don't think I've heard of anything to this extent. They must have been putting out some very bad vibes or worse, possibly threatening other campers.

That is very true Belinda. Even though I live in a really nice little town, aggressive pan-handling is not illegal in Oregon and it is a non-stop problem in Ashland. I just read that complaints have doubled this year against our roving groups of street people. They may loiter, just not block the sidewalk. They may call people bad names if they refuse to hand over money. It's really appalling. We recently had a fire which completely destroyed an entire block of nice homes (11 destroyed, 4 more condemned) and the fire was traced back to a homeless man. He's been in our town for about 15 years and is well known to all. He screams at people, is aggressive, and self-harms. He started this fire. When other homeless people were asked about him, most said they gave him wide berth, due to his frightening behaviors.

I think this problem is growing just about everywhere. The reason it's such a problem in Ashland is that our police force is "kinder and gentler" due to the the 300,000 tourists who come for the Shakespeare, music festivals, film festivals, and other events throughout the year. Tourists don't like it, though. I don't like it. Before I was bedbound, I once sat in my wheelchair waiting to be picked up in front of the library and two men taunted me and called me names for 20 minutes. They wanted money and I didn't even have a purse. Taunting is not illegal. But it did cause me to have a seizure on the sidewalk. The problem of the mentally ill not having better options than street life is a multi-faceted one.

My guess is that Iagulli and Pierson gave out nasty vibes to all. Note that one of Pierson's aliases is Shadow Pierson. They were most likely creepy unless they put on good behavior to get something they wanted.

Lorik--I will make note of that and hold him and the whole family up in prayer. I have several sons that age and they are so dear to me. It's an age where one is just starting to get their footing in life. That's what makes this so sad. Zachary's death was a needless tragedy. On Thursday, I'll try to focus on Zachary's life and the many wonderful things he did and the people he touched with love.

Thank you, lorik, for updating us. I'd been watching each day and have seen nothing in the news. We'd read early on that their was an unconfirmed report that Zachary had been sexually assaulted. I'm so sorry. I've also gone back and read much of thread and noticed something I wanted to ask you about.

Early on, we discussed the obituary of a young man with the last name of Iagulli. He was a DJ (had a stage name and an active MS page) and seemed to specialize in industrial/warehouse music venues. Is this man a relative of Dennis? If so, do you know of any connection between the two? It seems such a coincidence that Dennis would live in a warehouse and the other young man was promoting music in warehouses. I remember IWannaKnow discovering that there were several venues like that near the place of Zachary's death. Very odd. Any thoughts? I'm also wondering if there's any news concerning the body found in the water not far from the warehouse.

And Lila, do you have a date for Pierson's hearing? While it doesn't surprise me, it disturbs me. I have worked for hours attempting to figure out his history and he is indeed a "shadow Pierson".

My Post #120 on page 5 outlines the proximity of the club/clubs which IWannaKnow located. I also found some youtube videos connected with the club. There seems to be an upstairs club referred to as Level 13.

I am very sorry if the family members are offended but I simply cannot get it out of my mind that Iagulli and Pierson did these awful acts without some sort of sick audience.

I'd like to know why the young man who shares a last name with Iagulli is shown on his obituary page flashing what "could" be the "corna" or satanic hand signal. I checked on one of his mothers' (he had two) FB pages and she's flashing the same sign. It is NOT the "I love you" ASL signal nor is it the "hang loose" so popular with President Obama which is connected with Hawaii. I realize that many musicians into death metal use it but this guy was a DJ of house and rave music. I have no idea why his mother chose that photo for her default photo on FB. To do it "by the book, the thumb should really be holding down the two middle fingers but many flash it with thumb off to the side. If you look at other relatives connected with the moms of this man, they can be found on MS and have the some of the same friends which Dennis Iagulli had on his MS page.

I cannot get over the sense that some form of satanic ritual was what brought about Zachary's death. There's just too many things that point in that direction. JMO

I have no idea if this is related or not but thought I'd post it. A male body was found floating in the Mississippi last year. The body was identified as 56-year-old David Lawrence McDermott who had last been heard from on April 18. The body was found on May 3rd near E. Davis St. in St. Louis. I checked and that is 10 miles by vehicle from the warehouse. No doubt it is much closer via the river. The man was killed. Does anyone know how long Iagulli was in that area or recognize this name?

Izzy a man by that name comes up alot as an appeallant in cases with the parole board. Same middle initial and all. Not sure if it's absolutely the same man, but he was in Saint Louis. They're back in 2001.

Izzy in all honesty I do believe that woman is using the ASL sign for "I love you". Same for the son although it would be odd that a disc jockey would do that. The palm of the hand faces forward. The pinky finger is "I" in ASL. You form the "L" with your index finger and thumb. Theyn you make the "Y' with the index and pinky. It's one swift motion using the first letters of the phrase.

The "horns" as you mentioned the palm is facing toward the person and they hold down the two middle fingers with the thumb.

Even before Ozzy started that or whoever did prior to him for heavy metal. Somebody did and they wouldn't put it on a record album didn't do it prior to George Clinton.

That I only know because I am a P-Funk fan. Bootsy Collins used it as well. Parliament was huge on like chants and signs. That same horn sign was used to signify the Mothership. Hey, it's funk. Fist pumping as well. There's a chant "Party people pumpin your fists like this". That's all from the early 70's. Funk, Funkadelics, Bootsy and George Clinton had nothing to do with Satan. They just were funky. Still are.

Sorry for that whole schpeel, but I looked at that woman's FB page. Definately I think it's "I love you". Hey, I could be wrong considering. In fact the other female in the photo is throwing a sign up but it got cut out. They could have someone in the family who is deaf?

Filly, I tend to agree with you on the mom. On closer inspection, it does look like ASL but the son's is different--his middle fingers are facing inward. You are right, there could be someone in the family who is deaf and the woman is a special ed teacher. Being that the young man who passed has a full obit available and one can find his school, etc., I would think that something about a hearing deficit might show up. That would be a tough job for a DJ if one was deaf but maybe not just if there was a deficit. Being that his MS is still up, I've looked and I see no ASL on it. There are a number of photos of him at work, spinning, in front of a zodiac banner. I'm stretching, I know. I still wonder how he died and if he was connected in any way to this killer.

The remains of the dead person recently found could belong to a street person not even reported missing.

Out of all that I got "Joe Biden points". Sarah Palin really points. It works my last nerve. Only because my mother does that and it drives us bonkers. I just wish that people would watch their fingers a little more carefully. Totally totally off topic, but when my little fireball, high-spirited (Korean--heck yeah, that's pertinent!!) 7 year old was walking away from the house one day on her way to school, I called after her to stop dragging her sweater. I'd swear on a stack of bibles that that dear little innocent creature flipped her mother off. I was in such shock, it took me about a full minute to gather myself and go running down the street after her. She spent the day with her loving mother discussing respect and kindness and all things good. Hasn't flipped me off since. She'd better not. She swears she couldn't have done it but I know what I saw.

Very interesting that that same child is quite skilled at ASL. Maybe she was just using "shorthand".....like "I hear you and I'm choosing not to listen, Mom."
