Thanks, lorik, for updating us about Pierson. How I wish we could find more info on this guy.
Filly, I tend to agree with you on the mom. On closer inspection, it does look like ASL but the son's is different--his middle fingers are facing inward. You are right, there could be someone in the family who is deaf and the woman is a special ed teacher. Being that the young man who passed has a full obit available and one can find his school, etc., I would think that something about a hearing deficit might show up. That would be a tough job for a DJ if one was deaf but maybe not just if there was a deficit. Being that his MS is still up, I've looked and I see no ASL on it. There are a number of photos of him at work, spinning, in front of a zodiac banner. I'm stretching, I know. I still wonder how he died and if he was connected in any way to this killer.
Just for comparison, here's a page with many many signals similar to the cornuto or corna:

Note the intriguing comment about Helen Keller. Odd.
Some might be photoshopped for all I know. This is a great way to see just the great variety of people, situations and actual hand signals people throw which look similar to the corna. No wonder Joe Biden points!!
Concerning the man found strangled in the water, his funeral was in Bridgeton and there is a woman of similar age listed there. There names came up at the same address in the past. Still no word that I can find about the torso. I realize that these things happen near rivers but with Iagulli known to have done what he did, it makes me uneasy. The remains of the dead person recently found could belong to a street person not even reported missing.
And where the heck is Pierson's history?
