Authorities search for missing 6 year old in Adams County

Authorities say they are searching for a missing 6-year-old boy near Loraine, Illinois.
Adams County Sheriff Brian VonderHaar confirmed his department is searching for the child, but couldn't give any more details or a description of the child.

Missing Loraine, Illinois boy found in drainage ditch pronounced dead

The boy, identified as Zachary K. Robinson, was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital Emergency Room 9:22 pm Monday, according to Keller.

Keller also tells WGEM the incident appears to be accidental and an official autopsy will be performed Tuesday afternoon in Bloomington.

Adams County Coroner James Keller says Zachary K. Robinson was taken to a Quincy hospital where he died in the emergency room at 9:22 p.m. Monday.

Zachary's sixth birthday would have been March 29.

Keller said the child had been playing outside with two older siblings when he went exploring and came to the drainage ditch. He was apparently throwing rocks into an isolated deep pocket of water when he fell in.
