Does anyone know what day Lee turned over Casey's laptop to LE?

This is a little confusing to me, but I'm still sick and doped up so maybe you can make some sense of it:

According to pages 353-354 of the discovery documents, all the way back in the beginning, there is a property sheet with the laptop on it and the only date on the two pages is "Reported: 7/15" I would imagine that they would take the laptop as soon as possible, but I wonder if this is the date the crime was reported. The following two pages of discovery, 355-356 has only one date also: "Reported: 7/16" so maybe a typo or maybe the date the items were taken? The signatures for Chain of custody are still blank on these sheets. This may be a starting point if not the answer. A lot of other things were taken at the same time.

Truly I don't think anything will come of any of this at all.
jmho of course :)

I just read this on WESH site. I notice this thread #2 is closed so I started another one (couldn't find a part 3). What all do you think Lee may have done to hide evidence???? What did he do in behalf of his sister or LE that could be hindering the investigation?

----------------------------
"There were a number of instances where he was acting on behalf of his sister, or on behalf of law enforcement, that now could be seen as something less than benign or could be seen as hindering the investigation instead of assisting it," Luka said.

Luka said he fears his client may be charged with obstruction of justice or evidence tampering.

Lee Anthony has also been under other family related stresses, his attorney said.

"He’s struggling with the grief of the death of his niece, he is struggling with the fact that his sister, who he is very close to, is in jail and facing life in prison," Luka said. "He is facing the fact that the economic situation in his house is not the best."

Lee Anthony has been working 18-hour days arranging parking areas for the Super Bowl. He also moved home to save money on rent.

Where the heck would he be for a month that would make him unavailable?

ETA. lol, I guess since next month is a week away it might not be that long.

If the comment about LA was removed from the article it would be more likely that it wasn't true or quoted incorrectly.

p.s. LA travels in his job which is to accompany athletes on tours, being gone for a month isn't unusual in that job.

Lee is arranging parking for the SuperBowl according to this article...

Well we keep hearing about the possibility of him being arrested so maybe. The newspaper quote seems off to me, maybe should read: that he was acting on behalf of his sister while he was telling law enforcement he was acting on behalf of LE.

The 7/15 date is the date that LE first responded. Lee went to Tony L's apartment about midnight 7/15 and did not return to the A's home with Casey's stuff including the laptop to approx. 2:30AM on 7/16. The laptop was given to LE on 7/16 but I don't remember the time. I believe if you read through the narrative you will see who took possession of the laptop and when. Don't have page numbers handy but I would think it would be in the same section or at the beginning when they LE are relating everything went down.

This is highly perplexing to me, too. How on earth is it in LA's best interest for his lawyer to continue these interviews, and to continue to hypothesize publicly about what LE might or might not do to his client?! Baffling!

I am dying to know what Lee did that could be construed as hiding evidence. On Greta his lawyer just said that Lee has not received any subponea to appear so he is afraid he will be arrested for OBJ charges. He said he contacted someone (LE? SA?) to ask why no subponea or what is going on but they didn't call back yet. Anyway, what did Lee do???

I think 1 thing we will see that Lee did was erase all sorts of stuff off of Caseys computer on the 15th/16th before he gave the laptop to authorities. They probably found out that a bunch of stuff of deleted that nite. That is probably one thing Lee did that is a big NO NO to help his sister. I have suspected that from day one when we first heard that.

That's what I think as well Kathyn. I wonder if he erased it at TonE's or did he do it in the car after he left TonE's place? I can only imagine what sort of incriminating evidence he found on her laptop!!

I think he took her stuff and left. Maybe went to his own house to erase stuff or sat in his car and did it. I don't think he did it in front of TonE.

Luka was on Greata tonight and he only said "I take that back" one time. Look how much he is improving! No telling how good he'll be by the time he needs to go into court.

Thanks. I will go with 7/16 unless I discover something more. I was just reading the GA transcript where the emails from the fake employers were discussed and it says that LA handed those emails over. Those could have been created after 7/16, I just need to figure out how much time he would need to go in and delete her emails and myspace comments after he obtained her passwords.

Feel better!!

Dang! I missed it. Good for him.

Yes, at least JB claims his client is not guilty and when you hear the whole story you will be amazed. LA's attorney just says, "My client might be arrested soon!" and "I take that back!"

I really don't think any of the Anths will end up being charged with anything, even maybe they should be, but it's just different when it's one of their OWN lawyers saying they might be charged. If it was just a "source" I'd ignore it, but it's his own lawyer!

Greta asked Luka if Lee thought KC was lying all along since she had a history of it. He said something along the lines of he was not fooled and then he stated I take that back. my client knew she lied but lying is a long way from homicide. this is what i remember hearing may not be the exact words but in the same context.
