One major item that hurts the case against RA, imho, is the March 17, 2017 FBI Ron Logan warrant. Hopefully, investigators can tie the two men together because I feel that'd be important to the jury.

Do we have access to the contents on the return warrant? Did they take panties from his home? Did any fibers or hairs from the CS match stuff from RL's home?

pg 5
last sentence - His voice is not inconsistent with the voice on LGs phone's video.

I immediately thought of AB's e-mail auto-fill fail when I read this post on the Murdaugh thread. (referring to last paragraph)

But having all 3 is certainly better than having just one, and his confessions seem to have occurred in a context that make them less likely to be false.

Great post - just wanted to reply to this part.

I get the feeling these aspects are oddly priced in for whomever followed the case multi-year. But for a jury hearing the prosecution say in opening hey we have a bullet, a video and a recorded confession ...

New News:

Judge Gull to Serve As Next Superior Court Chief Judge

Administrative Judges Complete 2024-25 Court Leadership Team
Fort Wayne, Ind.
– Allen Superior Court’s Board of Judges has elected a new Chief Judge, rounding out the leadership team that will guide the Court for the next two years.
Judge Frances C. Gull will serve a two-year term as the Court’s Chief Judge, beginning Jan. 1, 2024. The Chief Judge has certain leadership and administrative responsibilities, including overseeing Board of Judges’ meetings, signing the Court’s annual budget and representing Allen County on the Judicial Conference of Indiana Board of Directors.
She succeeds Judge Jennifer L. DeGroote, who completes a two-year term that began in 2022.
“In Allen County and across Indiana, the Courts have never been busier,” Judge Gull said. “While that makes our daily tasks tougher, the same challenge gives us an opportunity to help people, restore lives and break cycles of substance abuse and crime on an unprecedented scale. With a mix of innovation, compassion and respect for the law, Allen Superior Court is equal to the challenge.”
In addition to the Chief Judge position, Superior Court Judges recently elected divisional Administrative Judges. Those Judges will also serve two-year terms beginning Jan. 1. They are:
  • Judge Jennifer L. DeGroote, elected to serve as Administrative Judge of the Court’s Civil Division.
  • Judge Frances C. Gull, re- elected to serve as Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division. She has served as Criminal Division Administrative Judge since 2000.
  • Judge Lori K. Morgan, elected to serve as Administrative Judge of the Family Relations Division.
Full biographies of Superior Court Judges are available on the Court’s web site.
Allen Superior Court’s Chief Judge and Administrative Judge appointments and terms of service are governed by Indiana Code sections 33-33-2-30 and 33-33-2-31.
Sorry to respond to my own post, but I meant to ask -

Do you think this is a way of replacing Judge G without it 'looking like she's being replaced' or do you think she will continue on Judge in this case? If it is part of her coming of RA's case, do you think the ExD has any chance at being reappointed?

MOO

01/03/2024Order Issued
Correspondence from Inmate Robert Baston received and reviewed. Court takes no action on the correspondence as it has nothing to do with this cause (despite the inmate attempting to file it under this cause number). Additionally, the inmate is complaining about conditions within the Department of Correction; this Court has no jurisdiction to address the inmate's complaints.

I have wondered why RA’s defence team went for the Odinism theory as an alternative perpetrator(s) rather than RL or KK/TK. I did think that maybe there was a chance RA was tied to one or both of these other parties, so the defence couldn’t use them.

Oh, very logical thought!
If defense were very unlucky, they might have rounded up part of the "ring" accidentally.

Remember this is only for the purposes of the Franks memo

At trial i expect they will likely add RL and KK - why wouldn't they?

My opinion only: I do not think so but have seen this make waves elsewhere. The Chief and Administrative Judge roles are periodically elected and serve set terms. I do not see that Judge Gull has served in the Chief Judge role previously but is repeating as the Admin Judge for the criminal courts.

I don’t think there is a direct connection to either Judge Gull continuing as trial judge or Baldwin & Rozzi’s futures as RA’s defense attornies. IANAL or a judge. This is my opinion only. Any meagre insights are based on an amicable ex who is currently a Superior Court Judge in Indiana (far from Delphi).

If I had to guess, I would wager on the SCOIN maintaining Judge Gull’s role and upholding B&R’s dismissals, perhaps after holding a hearing on the dismissals. The bar should be set high for removal of a Judge, and although her processes should have been better, I don’t expect the bar has been met. I’ll be following with interest, for sure!

I’m relieved SCOIN accepted the case and hope to see clarity, increased transparency and a executable schedule moving forward. And most of all, a semblance of justice for Abby and Libby.

MOO etc.

Added security planned at Indiana State Capitol ahead of expected visit by Delphi murders defendant Richard Allen Allen is expected to attend a hearing in his case at the Indiana Supreme Court on Jan. 18.
Added security planned at Indiana State Capitol ahead of expected visit by Delphi murders defendant Richard Allen

From the link

"The upcoming hearing at the Indiana Supreme Court, which sits inside the Indiana State Capitol building, presents law enforcement with a unique set of challenges because the legislative session will be in full swing."

Wouldn't it be easier to give the legislators the day off? Surely, the cost to taxpayers wouldn't be as high.

I wonder if those in charge take these actions in order to make citizens think RA is a terrorist threat to them all?

What's been missing during his hearings are reports of angry mobs threatening to kill him. Maybe that's been happening and MSM just isn't reporting them for whatever reason.

Seeing him all shackled/vested up and surrounded by a bunch of big, beafy LE paints a scary picture. IMO

I don’t think the ex-defense, if allowed to continue, or the new defense team, would bring up RL or KAK or any other person or theory at trial because they have basically painted themselves into a corner with their long Odinist fantasy.
To start putting out alternatives would diminish any thoughts that the Odinist idea was legitimate or that the defense had any real confidence in it, and I’m sure the prosecution would hammer that home.

I doubt most of the Odinist stuff will even be admissible at trial.

Related - If anyone is interested the latest MS podcast was with a guy who examined all the social media claims in the Franks. I have no way of evaluating his takes as I have precisely zero interest in delving into all that stuff. Short version he thinks it is a bunch of wild speculation that doesn't prove anything.

Interesting he noted the wild claim about the victim being hung from her feet for which there is precisely zero evidence yet somehow is linked to a social media post.

What I will say, is I don't believe the defence will be allowed to just produce any old thing as evidence. Especially hearsay testimony about what a supposed perp said ...
