Question for all of you.
In looking at the new sketch, particularly the mouth and chin....

Doesn’t that mouth look like someone who would be wearing braces? There is a certain way one holds their mouth with braces...
The chin would seem to indicate a bite problem that would probably need braces.

I’ve been obsessed with the mouth and chin and notion of braces for a few days.

Anyone see this?

Amateur opinion and speculation

I really really wonder how accurate all these little facial details can be? Unless I missed something the sketch was based on witness info that would have likely been fleeting at best (versus someone having a conversation with him etc.); that said I’m not sure if I could deduce the subject having braces or not but a good observation on your part.

I liked he map that @steeltowngirl posted because it makes sense. If we could just add a compass to it it would be great.

gitana1, Today at 5:19 PM

@gitana1 , I used a photo program to turn the map you liked to the compass point NORTH already included in the map. I hope it helps.

Thread 100 - This makes me so sad.

I really thought that this case would be solved so much sooner. And yet; here we are at thread 100 and I'm not sure we're any closer to finding Abby and Libby's killer.

MOO

MOO not cold though - and even though they are "just beginning" they aren't really starting over - they have done a ton of elimination, they are just going to keep going and they are not giving up.

I think it must be a complicated bite problem. It is a skeletal open bite (“long face syndrome”) and maybe (hard to say) progenia if lower jaw closes over an upper one.

The uneven teeth can be easily corrected. In complicated cases (very large lower jaw) the bite can not be corrected without surgery, IMO. The orthodontist might remember the conversation, but not the jaw as there may be many people around with such issues.

The mouth is almost cupid-like, btw.

His eyelids are heavy too. Put those two features on one man and a lot of men can be eliminated.

This is what I keep thinking as well. This is not a photograph-it's a sketch based on someone's interpretation of someone else's characteristics. The likeness is going to be dependent upon how much time they spent looking at BG, how good their memory is, how accurate their perception was, and how well they were able to convey everything to the sketch artist. Any one of those things could be "off" and it would cause discrepancies within the sketch.

This doesn't look right, though. Because the bridge goes from NW to SE. This map has got to be scaled wrong because the orientation you're using makes it a NE to SW bridge. It's more a diagram than an accurate map, imo.

Absolutely agree with your post, @Boxer !

Tremendous momentum generated from the recent press conference has not slowed down.

When I consider the small amount of information we have, compared to what the L.E. have gathered - I believe they are very close to an arrest.

I sure hope so. I can't help but think they have a POI, just haven't named him yet. They need one more thing. I feel sure they'll get it too.

Wow! Impressive response!
If this miscreant did go to an orthodontist, they’d remember him no doubt, or the chin/bite.

I truly believe this should be pursued. As to the accuracy of the sketch, well...it’s what we’ve got to work with, and I’d say we are all coming up with some potentially viable suggestions. : )

I’m way behind, and stuck on a plane so relying on my phone.

In thread 99, some were mentioning the Delphi UMC bulletin if I remember correctly? I believe it was a church either way.

Can someone repost it or explain the significance of what was in it?

Thanks, y’all!

I think the mouth, jaw and chin area are very distinctive. It only appears to be a slight under bite with long jaw line to me though. If this is truly what BG's mouth, jaw and chin look like then IMO it would've stood out as a distinctive feature to the witness.

The original map is not to scale.

I did nothing with the orientation except make the compass already included on the map point NORTH.

I was only trying to help @gitana1 because she said she wished she had that particular map but with it pointing NORTH.

Wonder how this would effect speech?

I was in the process of replying when the thread closed :( Don't know to bring it forward so suffice it to say I was responding to @MassGuy.

I agree that the motivation was almost certainly sexual but I wonder about the possible "connection" alluded to by the previous poster because it has crossed my mind, here and there. Could BG somehow have known the girls or "of" them through a younger sibling or acquaintance? BG had this on his mind for sometime, no doubt. He may not have singled out Abby and Libby necessarily as his target in his mind, but did the opportunity come to him by sheer chance?

It was said somewhere that Libby was calling around for a ride to take them to the trail. Who all did she call? Were either of the girls posting what their plans for the afternoon were on social media or texting friends? The police are looking for someone who can attest to a vehicle being parked in the area in and around 12 p.m., plenty of time to get into position, the ideal location to strike. Maybe I'm reaching here, but I do think it's a possibility that BG knew the girls were going there, knows the area very well, well enough to hide until he found the opportunity to strike when no one was there to witness it. If someone else did show up, he would have abandoned the attempt. Supt. Carter's words directed to the killer were very emotional and purposeful and I can't help but think when he asked the killer what would his family think of him, that he has strong suspicions about who BG is.

Just my random thoughts this evening :)

Yessss....
And I would be surprised if he wasn’t now sporting a beard.
His hair seems distinctive too...wiry.
Quite noticeable features all around.
There needs to be a doubled down effort to promote that sketch to the surrounding areas; closest big city.
He’s there....we gotta smoke him out.

Depends on the length of the face, and the bite, but from nothing, to poor articulation of the consonants.

I agree 100%. The only new information released at the press conference was the sketch (younger BG) and the mention of a vehicle parked at the CPS building lot. Carter directly asked the public for help identifying the driver of that vehicle. I think LE knows who the sketch is, and LE knows who the registerd owners of the vehicle are, but the 'one more thing' they need is for a witness to link the person depicted in the sketch to the vehicle. Either somone in his family or frienship circle needs to out him, or a vigilant member of the public needs to come forward and share a tip about what they saw or heard on February 13, 2017.
