You know, she felt something, but he did not have "murder" written all over him. This is why she might have felt uncomfortable calling 911. I think he pulled a gun at them, too fast. She probably did not foresee it. In hindsight, there are enough weird people around, and not everyone is a murderer. She did what she could... We might discuss what is the best thing to do, under the circumstances, but they had no way of knowing he was a killer.

This is what I think, as well. It's the only thing that makes sense to me in regards to how he maintained control of BOTH of them.

For example, if it was a crowbar one of them could have easily ran and called 911. With a gun, you run and I shoot.

Ok now, that new interview tells me when he says “somewhere between the two” he is referring to the 2 sketches. If that is the case I wonder if OBG’s witness was actually Libby’s video? Did the people with the FBI or Disney do a sketch based on what they think they see in the video? There just looks like such an age difference.

I think OBG is from witnesses and the video. moo

I really wish they released more info. I have to believe they don't because it might jeopardize the case, but it's annoying knowing they have a lot more video and audio than they're showing the public.

I mean, I understand the audio because they mentioned early on it contained recording of the attack, and since we know it happened quickly it might've been soon/right after the "down the hill" comment. And I am sure that they don't release it because 1) it contains information regarding their manner of deaths, and right now only the killer and LE know what that is and 2) it would be in poor taste, especially towards the family, to release audio of two girls being murdered to the public.

But I feel like there is probably more video of him walking the bridge? IDK. Just speculating.

Yep. We here ALL want to know what LE knows. Cause that’s just how we are built. And.. we want this 🤬🤬🤬 caught, convicted, nailed to the floor.
And BG also wants to know what LE knows. Cause he doesn’t want to be caught.

But we aren’t stopping and LE is not stopping.
They ARE coming for him.

If we Googled any serial killer and pushed "images" and looked at sketches/composites...who could identify them from these sketches? It is for the police, for the suspect and for his family/friends.

I asked and Tricia has given permission for this video of Doug Carter's YouTube interview from last week to be posted!

Thank you Tricia!

In this video I find it interesting that DC says something to effect of ......if you are afraid, we can protect you to the end. It’s near the end of the video.

I would agree that it's quite likely the killer has provided LE with detailed info, maybe a description, to throw LE off base. And they know that now.

If LE was thrown off base by the killer and they know that now, why do think LE isn’t announcing the suspect’s name, seeking tips and leads to an identifiable person?

IMO not to do so would be as incompetent as allowing the killer to throw them off base, considering from the onset LE has continually mentioned awareness of false tips and confessions is their reason for protecting investigative information.

I think there was a gun, but never intended to shoot it, just use it to threaten or knock over the head with. Too loud to use to kill two people as there were others in the vicinity, even if not on the bridge and would draw attention to him. My best COD theory is blunt force trauma to knock out one of the girls first. It wouldn't have been hard as he was walking behind them.

We have no idea whether or not there was blood or if they were strangled. Horrible feeling writing that. We also don't know what kind of DNA they have from the killer, blood, skin, hair, if any. Did he think ahead and bring along someone else's to confuse the crime scene? Strange yes, but anything's possible. We don't even know if SA was the motive. JMO

Basically she said she felt like the main character then she discussed the plot of the movie. She was responding to a question from the interviewer. I think he asked what she thought should happen to BG once he is caught.

2 references to The Shack? When it was brought up in the PC I thought it was really weird. Maybe the movie is more popular than I thought (I’d never heard of it).

I know I've been a broken record about this but, yes. It was a HUGE movie. I live in a tiny town without a cinema but in the next county over we have a Regal with 16 screens and THE SHACK sold out 8 of them for 2 nights in a row. It is one of the highest grossing Christian movies that has EVER been released. Ever. It may even be the highest now. I haven't checked. That dang movie was everywhere. I had to put people on my Facebook feed on "ignore" because, frankly, I got tired of hearing about it.

It was big in Delphi, too. I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt, but my people in Delphi were loading up to go and see it, too. Not only was it a Christian movie, but it was a double whammy for starring Tim McGraw. If it had aired on the Hallmark Channel then it would've made the trifecta of feel-good message movies.

<modsnip - rude>

I don't know how the girls were killed. But the killer did everything to get rid of the DNA...his DNA! Under the nails? on the clothes? MOO. Just logic. And maybe this is why the car, if it is related to the crime, was there till 5 pm. The killer was getting rid of the evidence. He was likely afraid to set up a fire, but bury stuff somewhere in the forest is easy. Maybe later he even returned, dug out the blue coat, washed and dumped it into a donations dumpster.

<modsnipped to remove the quotation marks from the paragraph above. Quotation marks are used when one is quoting someone else, not appropriate to use on one’s own words. It implies they are someone else’s words, which is not the case.>

Now...nothing about rumors, just my opinion.

In this video I find it interesting that DC says something to effect of ......if you are afraid, we can protect you to the end. It’s near the end of the video.

I think he realized his earlier assertion about a witness being afraid to offer up that “one tip” came across as a self-serving excuse why the murders were still unsolved. At the time he made no offer of protection for the person who might be afraid.

bbm

Does anyone have a source for this? I've seen it hinted at but never substantiated. moo

The only place that I ever saw it was from one of those awful rumor blogs. We were banned from talking about that blog very early on here, for good reason, and in time the blog was even forced to shut down altogether. I've not seen that in MSM so IMO it's a rumor.

I can tell you - it was mentioned here, many times. If you want my post to be deleted, report it - it is OK but I shall rewrite MOO about getting rid of DNA.

I wasn't suggesting it be deleted. I was actually very interested to know if there was a source - maybe from the families?

Makes me wonder just how much attention they are paying to social media. Offering assurance of safety was one of the things we discussed, moo.

If it's the blog I am thinking of, I am glad it was shut down. I remember reading one early in the investigation that was salacious and full of nasty unsubstantiated rumors. At best, it was irresponsible and hurtful to the families.

End of bridge, looking down the hill.
(I saved it without mention of the source.)

My apologies if this already has been answered somewhere – I may have missed it. How does one exit the bridge at the south end, to the driveway or trail or whatever-it-is? Is there a ramp, or stairs, or a several-foot drop to the ground, or is the bridge at ground level? In all the photos I've seen looking north from the south, not one seems to illustrate the very end of the bridge. TY!

"Rotten tomatoes" gave it 20%. ;)

Maybe someone is afraid, and maybe they've provided tips through the tips line but it's not enough, LE need that individual face-to-face. Maybe that person is already dead because they did have a bit of conscience left? I highly doubt the killer has any conscience left to turn himself in and I certainly hope LE isn't waiting for that to solve this case. Like he said in his Wish interview, they need human intelligence to solve this case, which leads me to believe that if they have DNA evidence, it is not a slam dunk. JMHO

They say Libby put up fight. I assume she scratched him, at least. I also assume that he knew about DNA under the nails. MOO. I think the scene was anything but peaceful specifically because he was trying to get rid of evidence- own DNA.

BTW, if we assume Carter is interested in that car in conjunction to murders, the car could be around till 5pm since someone was getting rid of evidence. (Not where everyone is searching. He is a local, he knows where to go.)

“Put up a fight” can be defined to a lesser extent, not only describing a violent altercation. It can also mean refusal to cooperate with orders or instructions.

When my kids were young they “put up a fight” over going to bed on school nights but there definitely was no physical violence in our home. It’s a very common old saying, not necessarily defined literally.

ETA - This could also describe a girl who didn’t meekly allow herself and her best friend to be - hypothetical example only - abducted by a stranger and forced into a car parked DTH on the dirt road beneath the bridge. Instead they attempted to escape by crossing the creek.

“She was a strong-willed girl, she put up a fight.'..”

OT but in regards to The Shack...here I was assuming it was some sort of crime/murder mystery movie. Was not expecting it to be a Christian movie, haha.
