As you may know from my previous posts, I'm a bit obsessed with the use of the word "guys". "Guys, down the hill". We've had debates back and forth about how frequently people use the term "guys" to speak to people; regardless of gender or level of familiarity. I still think it's noteworthy.

That aside, I want to amplify the use of the word "guy" supposedly caught on audio in reference to one of the girls referencing BG following them. (I can not find a direct source to verify the girls captured on audio saying "creepy guy"). Anyone know if this is verifiable?

Now *if* it is, and *if* the girls used the term "creepy GUY" to describe BG lurking around them, it does suggest a younger male. "Guy" is a younger male, taking the age of the girls in to context. If he were over 30-ish, given the girls age, I think they would have said "creepy MAN", or "creepy OLD MAN".

Amateur opinion and speculation
There has to be a reason that they decided to add that word for us.

Libby's father, Derrick, had arranged to pick them up at the drop-off point which is on the opposite side to the cemetery. Their bodies were found on the cemetery side.
It's on the same side as the cemetery, just along the road a bit and opposite the Mears property. Misty just posted a map.

Strange really. Over two years and they give us that one more word only. Does it indicate someone local?

We have no way of knowing if the girls really used the word "guy" or if that whole convo was just paraphrased.

Some teachers take fieldtrips to the park some years and some don't. Budgets, schedules, etc all play into this. There is no real way to track that without calling each individual school and asking for a list from the past 10 years. My 15 yo cousinhas been on 4 fieldtrips to the park, my 14 yo has never been on any, despite having the same teachers.

Basically, there is a chance BG visited as part of a field trip and just as big of a chance that he didn't. At university level, there are many departments that MIGHT be interested: history, environmental science, anthropology, recreation, archaeology, field science...

On that particular podcast @ appx 17:00 KG says she received the SC of Abby on the bridge and the time stamp was 2:07.

If she saw the pics that’s are reported to be the last pics there wasn’t a time stamp with the precise time posted. There was only a stamp saying how long ago the photos were posted. Any photo posted over 59 minutes previously would be difficult nail down a post time.

Re: LE saying they just need "that one tip"

That is exactly what LE has said in their most recent interview about Brookelyn Farthing. I don't read anything into it. Every case is just waiting for that one tip. Brooke's been waiting for 6 years.

As you understand how SC works, maybe have a listen to the podcast. It sounded to me KG was saying she knew she received the SC from Libby at 2:07.

I think it may. Not hearing an accent any different than anyone from the Indiana area would have (like it’s not Jersey, Southern, British, West Coast, etc).

Remember, there is a shift in thinking on the crime after the April presser. I’ve gone back and tried to read between the lines (the investigators have a new direction).

It’s now almost July.

It’s also possible they have an idea of the UNSUB, but lack evidence. Remember, not only do they have to have the guy figured out, they have to have the evidence to stand up in trial.

The rule out of other possibilities, or lack of attention to other crimes, the LE may have an outside in look on the UNSUB but need direct evidence to get the inside details.

That could have been what Carter was pleading for- the last piece of evidence to bring BG in, if he isn't already in jail. Hope that’s what at it as least. IMO.

I heard it a while back actually. The SC pic was posted to LGs story and that’s how KG saw it. It wasn’t sent directly to her. If she saw it at 2:07, noted that specific time, and remembered it in the midst of looking for her missing sister I’d find that very odd.

Could be. Tho, I am guessing not.

But nobody was missing at 2:07. I’ll listen to it again because I thought it sounded as if she received it directly.

Because it's the only other word spoken? Or at least the only other word that (i) can be heard clearly, (ii) can be heard without interference from other sounds or (iii) doesn't reveal something that they believe still needs to be kept out of the public?

Except, that we can hear BG saying/pronouncing the word "guys", it seems also very important for us to learn, that this word is part of his usual vocabulary, IMO, orally and even in writing perhaps.

If "local" means from Delphi and/or within a radius of circa 100 miles, then I think: yes, local. That doesn't mean, he is originally from this area. MOO

That would include probably all of metro Indianapolis in that case.

Perhaps she saved the two bridge pics. They were good pics. That would explain how she had a timestamp.

I think they mean Lafayette, Camden Flora, Kokomo, maybe with family still in Delphi or works in Delphi. Radius of 20 miles approx only. Still a lot of people.

I don’t care if it’s historic. They should tear it down. Aside from the crime, it’s just outright dangerous

More than $1.2 million from a $90 million trail initiative announced in May by Gov. Holcomb will go toward rehabbing the Monon High Bridge Trail, including the abandoned rail trestle over Deer Creek near Delphi.

According to the governor’s office, the Next Level Trails initiative’s money will add decking and safety railing to the Monon High Bridge.

The work is expected to be done by 2020.

I'd love to walk over that bridge, even before it's restored, but I'm not afraid of heights.

how do we know her shoe came off?

Kelsi said in the Infamous Indy podcast:

Feb 14
Around 7:30 in the morning we had all went back out to search.

Three of us chose to cross the bridge to look underneath the bridge on the opposite side.
Um, and that’s where I ended up hearing that we found the bodies.
...
I was standing on the trail that’s right under the bridge looking out into the woods and somebody yelled up that they had found a shoe.

And when they had found the shoe they had asked what kind of shoes the girls were wearing, and they yelled up the type of shoe that Libby was wearing. So I yelled down and told them that.

Actually then the person that had asked that had put up their phone and saw two deer in the ground moving. And so he was looking to see what it might be, and he saw two deer standing up there, and when he saw them, he moved the camera down, and that’s when we found them.
