I recall it being Feb. 17th. Does anyone have that link?
This is the Nixle alert that I got from the media thread page one.

Update Delphi Homicides: Man in Photo is Suspect from Indiana State Police-Peru District 16-Peru, IN : Nixle

The alert is dated 19th but mentions the picture being issued Wednesday 15th. You can understand LE looking at the sketch and looking at the picture and saying, "no need to issue this sketch when we have the actual photo of the guy. Someone has got to recognise him".
MOO

No, you don't, but I still don't think they have narrowed it down to one guy. Asking the public to identify a new sketch of a young man, releasing additionl audio and video, seeking the DNA of a 55 yo man...IMO these are not the actions of investigators who know who their guy is and are "building a rock solid case." At least not in any case I have ever followed or written about.
Yes I was just thinking of that on another case on here (the case we are not to discuss here). For those of us that believe LE has a suspect in mind and just need more evidence this doesn't appear the action of an investigative team with that situation.

I don't think PE is the guy, but the fact that LE is requesting autopsy reports says (to me) that they don't have one specific guy that they're confident about.
I think it's most likely due diligence. It's still in my mind that there may have been two killers involved in the Delphi murders. Maybe LE have reason to suspect this also and need to check everyone. JMO

I have a question about the sketches and wonder what everyone's thoughts are. So LE had a sketch done days after the murders, but choose not to release it. 6 months later they release a different sketch. What could have happened? LE had a witness days after that they thought was good enough to get a sketch, but shortly after thought the witness was not as important as they thought, so they didn't release it? Why? What could have made them rethink that initial sketch at the beginning? Was a person veering them away from that sketch? LE said to the killer at press conference, "you thought we wouldn't change directions, you were wrong." (I don't have actual quote in front of me.) I wonder, why get the sketch if you didn't think it was important? What changed in those days before and after sketch? Was someone close to the case messing with LE?
That initial witness's description could have matched someone involved with the search? They were cleared by alibi? Maybe LE wasn't confident that the witness was remembering their time of sighting correctly?

Why would LE need the autopsy reports of PE if they have requested his DNA? What additional info will an autopsy report enlighten them with besides weight and height (weight could have changed in 2 yrs)? It won't provide a voice sample or what his gait was like.
It could provide insight into his gait, injuries he may have previously had.

True Crime Garage podcast just posted a new episode called “Delphi Revisited.”

I’m probably not supposed to post this, so mods please delete if need be. Not really sure what the TOS is on posting such things.

Edit: In the beginning, the host says that Libby had asked Kelsi several times prior if she would take her to the bridge. I know Kelsi said that she had asked her to take her places during the week and Kelsi declined. This is the first time I’m hearing that Libby specifically asked to go to the bridge several times, though. Can anyone confirm that?

In the bridge video, I realize BG is walking on railroad ties but does anyone else think he might walk with a limp?

MOO I believe he is cutting over to intercept Abby before she gets off the bridge.

Take a look at his left foot.
MOO his left foot is planted athletically, pointed in the direction of his pivot to the left.
I think the video is literally the instant before he began his sucker rush down the bridge on the girls.
Going left to interfere with Abby getting off by Libby who is filming from just off the east end of the bridge.

I agree, the police have no serious suspect.

I meant when the sketch was done (YBG). The sketch artist said it, I think.
I think it was two days after IIRC.

I do remember BP stating in an interview that Libby had asked her first and she said she could go if she arranged a lift back as she wasn't able to pick her up. I don't have a link so MOO.

I completely agree. That was a very intentional turn. JMO.

As I've said before, I do not believe it was a spontaneous decision to go to the bridge...to me it was more of a teenage plan. I made many of these when I was a teenager!!!!

Yeah, I agree. My question is whether or not that plan involved a third party.

The good news is they have DNA. Other than that, this remains a cold case in my opinion.

The bad news is we don’t know they have the killer’s DNA

To compare wounds, method of death, etc. We don’t know, for sure, that they have the killer’s DNA, and they, LE, may not be sure either.
