This was my original thought.

The perpetrator previously came across a social media account of "Liberty German" and started a plan to befriend her online, and observe her in person.

Libby/Abby skipped school on that day, and went to the Monon trail, to meet Libby's online teenage friend.

They met a killer instead.

P.S. This is my first post about Libby/Abby case, and I have to catch up on some details.

(BBM)

Hi Kubirai! I kindly point out, the girls not skip school that day. It was a scheduled closure.

Oh, Welcome to the thread!

**** looks like the page was taken down???
It looks like it was updated on the 25th.
The wording has changed somewhat.

Sheriff: Delphi murder investigators requested Etter autopsy results, DNA

"I would caution folks on not getting ramped up on just one certain individual because of his recent attention because of what he's done,"

"We're not in a position where we're saying this guy has moved up on the priority list or anything like that. We continue to follow him as we would anyone else," said Sheriff Leazenby.

Carroll County's sheriff says investigators were already looking at Etter because his name had been called in to the tip line set up for the case.

Police reportedly collected Etter's DNA, but it is not clear if that is part of the evidence turned over to investigators working on the murders of Libby German and Abby Williams in 2017.

“He’s not a priority,” Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said. “He’s being looked into and pursued, but that’s like all the others that we’ve been looking into all along.”

Sgt. Kim Riley with Indiana State Police would only tell Eyewitness News that if a name has been given to them, they investigate them like all other names or tips they have received. Sgt. Riley would not confirm if Etter was among those they were investigating.

One year anniversary PC:

ISP: Nations "not someone we care about now"
During Tuesday's press conference, Carter said they are "confident" that anyone they have already interviewed as a potential suspect is not involved in the crime.

April 2019 PC:

Delphi murders: Is Abby and Libby’s killer one of Delphi’s own? ISP says, yes
"We likely have interviewed you or someone close to you."

ISP leader updates Delphi double murder investigation
"I really believe, that over time, we're gonna have an idea that we were onto something early on."

BBM

So can I read this as LE is saying they likely interviewed him early on, but not in the capacity of a potential suspect? I don't know if this means anything, but I just noticed it.

BBM- That is how I am reading it also.

That sounds like a promising view, IMHO. I wonder if LE would want to examine something like that?

Those darn pixels :)
You can bet LE has looked at every frame with much more sophisticated enhancements then anyone on WS can do at home

When I zoom in on his right hand on the video, while in motion, I see him extending his pointer finger down and then bringing in back up. Like he was nervously or unconsciously moving it, being fidgety. I think I can possibly see movement of his left hand a bit also. I'm not sure if that's just the trees behind him though.
Is it a finger or a gun?

Thanks for that @MizMari. Now that I went through all of the frames I have to say his jacket looks more like a heavy windbreaker type jacket rather than a heavier say Carhartt type jacket that I first thought is was.

To me frame 30 and 31 are the best frames that capture his facial features. And I do think he is wearing a hoody, brown.
It looks like a brown/tan hoodie to me also

It looks like a blue pullover, over a brownish whatever, and he has one hand in the pocket of the brownish whatever. The left hand is doing IDK what.

Consider the possibility that he is holding up his pants that are @ a size too big....to keep them from falling to his knees.

Plus, I think he is drunk talking to himself.

I reject the notion that this is the exact beginning of the attack. I don't think that the attack began abruptly.

To me, it seems like the drunk BG is simply trying to get closer to the center of the bridge.

What I am saying is that I think he found his "courage" at the bottom of a bottle of vodka.

it had to be the two best (non -fuzzy) video frames from a very shaky hand held video. Even stabilized won't help you when you miss the subject in the air OR the phone is moving causing blur. I feel confident these were the only two usable frames.

The thing is we are not directly involved in the case. I think with your obvious training on these matters, you might want to get yourself verified. We need all the verified professionals we can get.

I'm not in any way directly or indirectly involved in the case, so I consider that a rather impotent exercise. But thank you for the suggestion.

I hate analyzing the video because it's so hard to see, but...

I've always seen a windbreaker type jacket, too. And it might have either a hood down, or a high collar. I like frame 24 for his face, and even though it's really hard to tell, it kind of looks like he's wearing a baseball hat (brown or camo) and a gray hoodie under the windbreaker, with the hood also down but bunched up closer to the back of the head because of the outer jacket. I think it's the gray hoodie sticking out up around his chin, and maybe part of it down around his pockets. Can't tell if that's his hand or clothing or what.

Looks like his pointer finger to me. You can even see the shirt fabric wrinkle a bit with it's movement. JMO, my eyes.

Exhaustively and many times, yes. I would say that's a very good assessment.

Okay folks, here is something a lot of you may find helpful and interesting! I find myself looking back at this very often. At the link below are 48 still frames taken directly from the BG video. I did not create this so I can’t take any credit for it. I think posting the source for this may violate TOS so just PM me if you want the source. It is worth looking at them on a computer or tablet versus a smart phone because you can see much more detail that way. I don’t think I’m violating TOS by posting the link but it you might want to bookmark it just in case the mods remove this.

THANK YOU Miz Mari !!!!!

I wonder if the “guys” in the audio is spliced from a different part of the whole clip and LE removes words. Wonder if he said something like “Guys, I’ve got a _______ (murder weapon) get down the hill.” To me it doesn’t seem like the “guys” and the “down the hill” go together. MOO

Also what is that brown thing in front of his stomach? Is it a fanny pack or the bottom of a brown sweatshirt? There appears to be something white hanging in front of his chin like goggles or headphones or something? I know this has probably previously been discussed a lot so apologies!
