I am hoping that we are only hours...or maybe a few days....from hearing something new on this case.

It would mean that I was wrong about my own specific POI....but, it would mean that the families are getting closer to justice.

There was a YouTube interview with the ISP Sargent on MVT channel. Listening to that interview makes me think there isn’t a poi currently. I found interesting the discussion about the car they are seeing info on

He drives me nuts with his recollection. If you listen he also says April as the month. I wish they had someone speak who had their facts straight.
I caught that too. Twice he said the girls were killed April 13th. How can someone make that mistake in such a high profile case?

Riley also says that ISP weren't contacted till the next day. I thought they were contacted by CaCo and an Amber alert was denied by ISP on the 13th, so that cannot be correct if ISP weren't even contacted till the 14th.

There wasn't an Amber Alert, there were no witnesses that could have given a description of an abduction. Additionally, authorities had no indication the girls were in danger on the 13th.

This article states they requested an Amber alert late Monday but ISP turned them down, whereas Sgt Riley in the recent interview states they weren't contacted until the 14th.

Why no AMBER Alert for missing Delphi teens?

Am providing the MSM from 14 Feb 2017 that has Superintendent Briles statement about the girls that he gave to the school, for recapping, if necessary.

Full statement from Delphi Community Schools Supt. Gregory Briles:

"It is with heavy hearts that the school corporation day comes to an end. It is our understanding that the two bodies found today are believed to of our 2 missing Delphi Community Middle School students.

The Delphi Community School Corporation will continue operating on a regular schedule Wednesday February 15, 2017. We will be providing transportation to all students to and from school. We feel that in the best interest and safety of the students, a regular schedule is best. We will have the services of the local schools and their counselors available for the students and staff, as well as Local Grief Counselors, Wabash Valley Counseling Center Staff, Department of Child Services, Local Pastors and Ministers will be on hand to assist students through a very difficult situation.

The Delphi United Methodist Church will open their doors to the community for support this evening at 7 p.m.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to both families and those who are mourning the loss of these two young individuals as well as the individuals that spent the last 24 hours assisting in the search."
AFAIK and remember, this statement was done even before LE made their statement about the completed identification of the girls? Am I wrong with that? (Found no acceptable link.)

You are right and I think that is why he says "it is our understanding that ...." because they had not formally been identified at that point. LE probably guided him as to what to say to the students and to calm the situation IMO.

Why no AMBER Alert for missing Delphi teens?

There are several criteria for state police to issue an AMBER Alert. While both girls were under 18 and police had enough descriptive information to help find them, there was no belief at the time the girls were abducted and in serious danger.

BBM

The only Amber Alert issued in the state that night was for a teen from Gary, and they had a full description of the circumstances and a vehicle description in what turned into a murder case.

In A&L's case they had information from family and Snapchat, and that early on probably no or very little eyewitness information, due to the time frame.

Even if an alert of some sort had been issued, I wonder what information would have been released.

Yes I understand that. I am pointing out the discrepancy between what Riley said and what the article said about when ISP were first contacted.

A new GH video with Kelsi.

I have managed to watch the first 20 minutes so far and the search is discussed and BG leaving via cemetery.

It's so disheartening to be on Thread #111. On the other hand, it shows how much and how many people care about seeing this case solved and justice served for Abby and Libby.

That said, I wish I had the confidence that some of you have expressed in LE knowing who this is and needing just one small tip towards an arrest. But I don't. I really don't. I wouldn't say they are no closer to solving it than they were on Day 1, because hopefully they've eliminated some POIs, but this whole business with the sketches, the generic almost cliché FBI profiler language in the statements, etc, is hard to see as a sign of laser-focus knowledge of the perpetrator.

I also don't believe that the girls were lured there by any one pretending to be someone else, etc. Given that they recovered Libby's phone, by now they would have discovered and tracked down any electronic leads, even if she were using apps like Kik. Compare the case MacKenzie Lueck, in which she met up with her killer for presumably a date, they were able to track that down all very quickly. I really think this was an opportunitistic, random killer, and one who perhaps was not at all tech savvy or even owned a cell phone.

If he did have a phone, can't they use reverse pinging or tracking technology to check which cell phones were in the area during that time? Given the relatively low number of people in the area, and the fact that the crime happened in such a short time window, this to me indicates he probably did not have a phone. I hope that LE pursued this avenue though to find that out, and all cell phones in the vicinity have been tracked and accounted for.

I am afraid he left the phone at home. However, this may be the sign, too. If someone’s car is in the vicinity but no phone signal, isn’t it odd? Or some witness had no phone on him? Also odd.

I've only watched the first 11 minutes, but to me it sounds like KG was saying Libby's shoe maybe was found on the opposite side of the creek from where the girls were found? Or maybe even in the creek? Am I interpreting that correctly?

Very interesting. If I understand her correctly, the shoe was spotted then the girls were seen across the creek. So yes, to me it sounds like it was on the opposite side of the creek.

I've heard Kelsi say something similar on Infamous Indy podcast. Kelsi is awesome...strong...but man she seems to offer up a lot of confusion and seems to misspeak a lot. Her "addressing rumors" video caused more questions than she answered.

Are there any people who are positively cleared?
At 19:08 in the video of the Flora conference linked (scroll down to find it), ISP Carter is asked a question about the Delphi case, specifically about if all family members have been cleared. This is the only time I've seen LE directly addressed anyone in the Delphi case being cleared or not cleared.

It's not directly from LE but this
article states DN has been cleared.

Re-following.

I wonder if they just, start from the beginning and reasses all the evidence they could get somewhere in this investigation. Maybe some new eyes are needed.

Didn't the GBI look over it IIRC?
