Yeah it's the Bureau of Prisons as Cutiekitty said. I used to use it for mafia members who were often released to halfway houses early and it would tell you. Inmate Locator

You only need to type in the first and last name btw then scroll down to the one that fits (assuming it's a common name) age/race/sex wise if you don't know what those are exactly.
Doesn't that site only work for Federal inmates? Is there a site like that for Indiana inmates?

Thanks very much for that. Does it work just for those in prison now or for all prisoners, including those released previously? The person I was looking for was not found and i guess he was released late 2018-2019 sometime.

All prisoners including those released previously. Type in "Liborio Bellomo" for an example of someone who hasn't been in prison since 2008, it says "Released On: 12/01/2008".

I just remembered this is only for Federal Inmates though, the vast majority of mafia members who i always used this for are Federal Inmates so i didn't even think about that. I guess yours was in State Prison or something? If not then i'd make sure you have the spelling exactly right as it doesn't correct for you.

Yeah, i just remembered that as i pointed out in my last post. I only used it for mafia members who are almost always Federal Inmates so i didn't even think about it. My bad.

I’m aware of only some of various WS’ers POI’s, but I know there is frequent speculation that these murders were religious in some way (or connected to religion somehow). Aside from DC’s comments on The Shack, I’m curious as to what aspects some of you are using to draw the inference of a religious tinged murder? In other words, was there a theory about this before the April presser or has it only come about for some since that presser?

MOO

IMO, the religious themes and discussions broke out after the April PC.

Hey i just found this - Indiana Offender Database Search

Indiana Offender Database. Looks like it's the same thing specifically for Indiana inmates? I dunno someone should test it out as i don't know the names of any of these people you're looking for.

That worked TY. However the release date shown did not take into account good time reduction of 54 days per year served, so the release date shown was the original release date, not the actual date the offender was released.

In a movie from 2004 called Flight of the Phoenix, Kirk Jones character, Jeremy decides that he can probably walk to the nearest town 200 miles away in the Gobi Desert to get help. There are a few points made against doing this. One of those points is made by Dennis Quaid's character, Captain Townes who asks if Jeremy is right-handed. Jeremy is right-handed. Captain Townes tells Jeremy that means his right foot is more developed than his left foot and he would take a longer step with it. He explains that Jeremy would be walking in a left-handed circle.

In the video of the bridge guy, what I was looking for was something the man might do unconsciously. The Monon High Bridge has gaps in the boards from being worn down. Because the video of the bridge guy walking is so short, I could not come to any type of determination about which foot is his dominant foot.

I thought looking for something the killer might do unconsciously might lead to a clue about that person, like the way Abigail Williams holds a volleyball when she took her sports picture. In both instances I would only be able to say that I think the person is probably left-handed because I do not know for sure, and there are many good arguments that could suggest otherwise.

As for the 2004 movie, Flight of the Phoenix, I had never heard that information before so I wondered if it is true?

I don’t know his handedness, but I don’t think that this should be a limiting factor. Height could. He is probably not over 6 feet, and probably, less. But lots of other things (accent, tone of voice, etc) people should not use as limiting because they are not 100% reliable.

I agree that there is not enough information to make an accurate determination of handedness. I can only guess. I think the killer is a man in his 50's or 60's who may have some type of disability or physical impairment. We all view the picture/video Liberty German got with her phone differently.

Even if the killer were left-handed it is just another clue. So many cases fade away unsolved.

That's what susiQ mentioned they were having problems with on the last page and why we started talking about inmate locators, ftr.

Yes, we are back with the same problem that neither Mycase nor Indiana inmate locator gives the actual release date. We will have to bear in mind that they may well be released earlier than that date.

"ABOUT SAVIN

Indiana SAVIN stands for Statewide Automated Victim Information & Notification. The Indiana SAVIN program is a free, automated hotline that provides crime victims with vital information and notification 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This service will allow you to obtain offender information and to register for notification of a change in offender status, such as offender release. All registrations through Indiana SAVIN are kept completely confidential.

Notifying residents in an emergency used to be a long and tedious process. Officials had to rely on door-to-door contact or the media to get the word out. When an emergency occurs, officials can access the ALERT Notification Service and notify nearby residents within minutes. In the event of an escape, registrants receive detailed information about the escapee, including physical description and time of escape. Registrants will also be notified of emergency situations in and around correctional facilities.

There are no costs for these services and citizens can register now."

Sounds like that will tell you if anyone has been released early.

Thanks Nadal. There is a search function too but the person I am entering is not even being found in this one. Just try these with a known offender, as I have done, to see if they work with any of you. Usually I go with Mycase, as it is reliable except for the release date issue.

You have to register for it and be an American Citizen, i'm from the UK so i can't.

Interestingly, disability or not, but he walks very fast. And he could outrun two girls, unless there was someone else waiting for them on that clearing.

I have a question. Could the second person be involved? On the one hand, two people make the place “too crowded”. More people would have noticed someone, more witnesses. On the other hand, given how athletic the girls were, it is possible that two people could be involved.

What do you think?

(Things are often not what they look like. We think it is a “male” crime, but a woman could be waiting in the car at the wheel to facilitate the escape, for example.)

True, but MOO when women are involved they usually take the role of luring the victims somewhere. Is as despicable as the crime

A second perp could possibly have been waiting “down the hill”?

I am still in awe that no one heard anything...like screams for help?
Certainly if one girl was suddenly attacked, the other one would have screamed?

is the environment /water running not conducive to the sound of travel at the site?

Like the Sydney Loofe case. Despicable indeed.
Perhaps if SM was involved, it was a female or a female profile who lured them to the site...then they met up with BG instead?
All speculation.

Just finished “The husband’s secret” by Liane Moriarty.

I liked it much more than “the Shack”.

Somewhat similar theme, but Australian Catholic scenery and more complex, karmic, connections between the heroes.

In view of questionable religious themes in the case, it made a good reading.
