what are your thoughts on the flora fire? I fail to feel a connection..was it aarson? what leads you feel there is a possible connection? mOO

It’s likely the family business (Delphi victim) could link them to the Flora house for no other reason than smaller towns often use the same business due to lack of competition. I’m not considering anything deceitful; It was more in line with it having potentially more in common than Evansdale, IMO.

I really wish more audio of BG was made available for public consumption. Or, of the victims if nothing sinister was involved for either instance. I think for a town of under 3K, it’s worth something if two youths didn’t recognize BG. Likely eliminating male teachers up to middle school, church congregation, fathers of friends, etc., and that doesn’t even account for BG remaining anonymous to family. Remember, early on, LE was serving search warrants inside of Delphi and surrounding towns.

I feel no connection between Delphi and Evansdale murders, but there might be a connection between Flora and Delphi. They are close in time and in place. Maybe it was as simple as Libby being told by some kid, who had own suspicions, and then the adults deciding to "take care" of it.

Both cases being cold, the mom of Flora kids moving away, and there is no indication that either of them will be solved.

The level of insanity in some circles is hard to believe. Take this case for example:

Was that Flora fire arson? It appears so. ISP had "solid persons of interest" over two years ago:

In one way, the two cases do have something in common. ISP hasn't been able to solve either of them.

Are the cases otherwise related? Who knows? Is the Delphi killer a serial killer? Who knows?

I, at this time, think there was motive in the Delphi murders, just as I think there was motive in the Flora fire, but not motive to murder those 4 girls. Rather, retribution of some kind.

It is clear we have no answers in either case, and only time, and it appears a stroke of luck, will be able to solve either one of them.

I've been focused on a couple other threads for the past few weeks so I thought I'd refresh on the case via MSM. Abby's Mom has been giving some interviews with some YouTubers (not MSM so can't post here). She provides some insights that I certainly didn't know about. She's an impressive woman; she's rock solid and focused on justice for the girls.

It doesn't sound as if there have been any major advancements in the case (that we, the public are being advised of). However, it does sound as if the case continues to be worked diligently, and it also sounds like the park for the girls is now turning in to a major venue!

Glad to see there is still so much interest on bringing justice for these two sweet girls.

From a couple years ago, but whilst speaking of Flora, but still maintaining Delphi for the thread:

I’ll admit I never paid much attention to a possible connection from Flora to Delphi (despite being only a ~15 minute drive), but I’ll now stand on the “it’s very possible” side of the aisle. At the very least, both of these cases are “fishy.”

retribution doesn't happen like this , someone would have to spend big bucks for a hit, a do it yourselfer would be too easy to trace back...the person would have abruptly disappeared or done something to create suspicion, like change appearance etc..even if in disguise his manner and gait would be easily identifiable.

this was a rape and murder of both girls that went absolutely haywire he tried to destroy evidence by putting clothing of the girls in the water. he was in and out of there , but we don't know how many times.

could it be there were more people involved? high school kids?

it is possible but I think someone would have spilled the beans by now.

bg is a grown a$$ man. he had absolute self confidence.

sexual assault and serial murder, sadistic hateful slaughter of women/girls.

Probably LE knows if the killer had previous experience, or not. Just by the MO. To me, it would seem that he had. He wrapped it all up in a fast way. Question is, where he killed, and under what circumstances.

For example: Steve Pankey, the killer of Jonelle Matthews, has not been accused of any other crime. But I am sure that all his moves, the places where he lived, or stayed, will be checked. The most difficult thing will be Pakistan, where he spent some time, especially since he might have targeted both genders. Thinking in parallels: if the perp is on the older end of given age range, and has a history of traveling, he might look very “clean” at home.

Just wanted to share one of my many random thoughts that pop into my head daily about this heinous crime. My thoughts and opinions of course.

It has to do with the searchers and the deer/s. So in my mind I picture a decent amount of people making a lot of noise, be it yelling the girls names, possibly on walkie talkies or cell phones and rustling through the wooded area while searching in broad daylight would deer just be hanging out? Aren’t they known to be skittish animals? I find it so very odd that a searcher happens to see some deer just standing there then spots the bodies. Did any other searcher actually see the deer?

If you’re able to find the link of when BP stated the searchers saw the deer, I’m quite sure she added the deer were “high up on the ridge”. Then the searcher looked down and noticed the bodies. Indeed the river bank area is much lower in elevation than the upper ridge where the cemetery and RLs home are located. Somewhere there’s a video of RL taking a reporter to the crime scene area and indeed the lay of the land is very steep down toward the river.

So I don’t think it’s unusual at all if a deer was spotted up on the ridge. In my experience deer become very comfortable with human activity in surrounding areas frequented by people.

First off thank you for all your posts - I always read them but felt out of my league actually commenting.
I wanted to bring up a couple thoughts - sorry if it’s been discussed - I try to read every post but could’ve missed it.

This is all hypothetical and IMO - if it wasn’t random but was targeted, then I think it could be a friends brother/brother type.
At that age, when going for an outing most girls ask other girls to go with them or meet them there. What if a friend knew the girls were going to the trails or even the bridge specifically, so asked if she could go. She wasn’t allowed but an older brother(or someone) overheard or even said no to the sister going, and went himself with bad intentions OR
I remember hearing the girls recorded chit chat (I believe it was from Abby’s Mom), they could’ve recorded chit chat about their plans and sent it to friends. When a friend played it, her brother(or someone) overheard it and headed over. Since everyone knew it was Abby’s first time crossing the bridge, maybe they made a big deal about it and it helped BG know exactly where to go. I use to think this about a friends father - until they revised the sketch.

I think if this did happen, the police are aware as they have recovered Libby’s phone.

Extra: I know “hey guys” is pretty common (I live in NY and find myself saying it to a group of girls), but I can definitely hear a big brother type using it while talking to his little sisters friends.

I do remember hearing the account of how they were spotted, and what it looks like in that area, but that info came from a searcher not BP, she was told this account so we really don’t know if this is in fact the way it happened, like so much of the awful crime we really don’t know much at all. I don't remember a friend being there. I do remember that when she got there her boyfriend was called into work earlier that expected but she stayed on until it was time to go to work. I guess timewise it wouldn't make sense to drive home again. imo

There has been plenty of speculation that he is someone accustomed to working with kids and ordering them about. Anything is still possible at this point. I spent a few hours over the weekend listening to all the interviews Anna Williams (Abby's Mom) has given recently. She is just an incredible woman. It would seem that thinking has remained that the Perp is, or was a local at some point. Apparently the location where the girls were is not someplace you would find without knowing it was there.
