you will be a little frustrated as we have almost nothing known about the case except the recorded evidence..

1/ as one girl was filming the other he comes in view behind her.. so he was opposite
2/ le tells you its a strange odd scene with signatures .. and not what you expect.. ppl theorize its unusually violent .
3/ there are two sketches so he was allegedly seen..two witnesses or 3 might have seen him before the crime.. there are lots of confusion though about whos who ...and which sketch is bg so you have to dig yourself

4/ le is looking for one killer as the recording show one killer but they dont exclude an accomplice
Who is BG?

So the girls would've been able to see the killer for absolutely ages then as he walked towards them, is that right?

I don't think the killer has a cell phone or is familiar with technology. If he approached them alllll the way over that bridge, he would've seen them on their phones and even (probably) filming him as he approaches on the video clip. Any normal person, even with murder in mind, would abandon the plan right then and there?? You'd know you've most likely been filmed, it would be far too risky....

MOO--My thought would be that by looking through the phone screen with the camera app on, one could zoom in on the deer and enlarge it to see it better. I often do that to get a better look at birds and other small critters when I'm out walking. If one was not sure if it were a deer, that might be an easy way to get a better look.

Phones had that kind of a zoom in 2017?

I have only rare luck doing that now ‍♂️

I have only rare luck doing that now. I'm sure there is a simple explanation...I just dont see the effectiveness. Looking for 2 girls, but that might be a deer so let me look at my camera on my 2017 cell? Just....idk....strange.

What is all the talk of someone seeing a deer and zooming in on it by the way? Sorry if this is old ground, but there's a hell of a lot made about it so pls can someone tell me...

BG = BRIDGE GUY AKA THE KILLER
nobody knows how long have they been aware of him.. but the family who heard more audio refer to them talking about ( a guy who was creeping them off ) behind....
I agree on someone who is not tech savvy..and thats one of the reasons I think he is on the older side ....but a lot seem to think he is pretty young which doesnt make sense cause he would be so smart about the phone and would at least get rid of it

I agree, it is entirely possible that we dont have the whole conversation. Likewise, it is very hard at ascertain personality from a few seconds of video. Any speculation about personality is going to be subjective.

I do, however, think the "Guys- down the hill" should be seen as one continous phrase unless there is evidence to the contrary.

Even if it’s one continuous phrase, the killer having spotted his intended victims, he’s charged up with adrenalin in preparation of committing the crime he’s about to engage in.... wouldn’t it be expected for his words to be expressed authoritatively?

So just my opinion, I don’t think his voice tone is indicative of any certain profession. Any male has the ability to bark out commands without professional training.

Is there any more info about the audio the family heard and is it verified as legit?

Yeah he can't be tech savvy at all, why leave their phones? Far too risky. I think the guy is 50+++ years of age.

See I'm of the opposite view: why take the phone? Why take that will link you right to the scene? The instant it is turned on, by anyone, you're caught. Idk. My thoughts.

He didn't have to be tech savvy to complete this crime the way he did. His ability or inability to know electronics doesn't mean much imo.

The word “guys” could’ve been spoken to gain the attention of the two teens who otherwise weren’t paying any attention to him. If so, that’s definitely not specific to any instructional-orientated profession. I hadn’t noticed that LE has ever conclusively connected “guys” and “down the hill” together in one single phrase.
JMO

Does anyone think that the "guys" the girls recorded could have been a greeting that BG said as they came upon him in the beginning(maybe sitting on a bench at the junction of the trails)? It sounds to me like more of a salutation. Knowing they shouldn't talk to strangers they would ignore him. (maybe was a "creepy guy") This ticked him off and he later came after them.

I don't because why would Libby have been recording at that moment?

I don't particularly understand it but don't some phones just automatically send pictures taken and audio recorded to the "cloud"? Maybe the killer did mess with Libby's phone and thought they'd deleted but it was also saved to somewhere else?

Take the phone and destroy it?? Leaving it was a huge risk, he could see them using their phones etc etc

Was it a huge risk? I mean, they haven't caught him ‍♂️

And phones? Libby was the only one with a phone. And we don't know what he saw and didn't see. Are there a lot of past instances where killers take the phone? I'm not aware of that.

  • #634
he def saw them taking pictures and recording ..he was watching them and that's their activity on the bridge

LE should delete the sketches, go back to the clips from Libby's recording and blast the media/internet outlets with them.

  • #637
I don't because why would Libby have been recording at that moment?

She might have started filming as they walked up the lane. Heading "Our day at High Bridge"

If the bodies were visible to searchers from across the creek (via camera zoom or whatnot), then it doesn't seem like a whole lot of effort was put into hiding them. It then makes me think not much effort was put into hiding anything, including the phone. It's also why I feel like it was likely not premeditated (prior to that afternoon, anyway). JMO

So this may be stupid....but I have an idea but idk what to do with it lol.

Has anyone sought out the USPS for help? Letter carriers are out everyday, many on the same route, and see a lot of the same people. They can identify them by how they walk. Have post offices been contacted, carriers shown the video and sketch?
