snipped

I'm not clicking on DailyMail but if that is a quote, it might just be a saying.

Like when people say, "kick butt and take names later" it doesn't literally mean you kick someone in the actual rear end and then jot down their name. Ykwim?

I think the "broken bones/knock teeth out" is just a rough way to say JBC will jump in a fight and be the last person to leave it.

I'm not expecting missing teeth to be a signature. But, what do I know.

jmo

or he just jumps in whether it has anything to do with him or not just to be able to inflict damage

What really surprises me is he answered the door in the first place. And he let them in to search.

He's obviously not very smart and thinks other people are not smart

A narcisistic psychopath always believe that they are super intelligent and smarter than everyone else around them.
I'm sure he thought he could get rid of them by acting helpful.
Thankfully something led them to her

Evansdale, Indiana double-homicide links 'coincidental,' Indiana State Police say
published March 9, 2017

Excerpts:

"Indiana State Police say similarities between the double-slaying of two teenage girls three weeks ago and the unsolved 2012 murder of two Evansdale, Iowa, girls are "coincidental" at this point, but investigators are "not closed" to the idea of a connection."

"Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agents reached out to Indiana State Police early on in the investigation of the Feb. 13 abduction and slaying, confirmed Mitch Mortvedt, the division's assistant director. Iowa DCI is still looking into its own unsolved murder of two Evansdale girls abducted in 2012 and found dead months later."

"I do know that double abductions are rare … that is absolutely curious, very intriguing to us," Mortvedt said. "Those are things we do want to pay attention to because we’re still open to any and all tips and leads."

"Sgt. John Perrine, a spokesman for Indiana State Police, said the similarities amount to the fact that in both cases two young girls were killed in a rural area, on a trail, on what happened to be the 13th day of the month."

Very telling, to this day. And Chadwell was in each state (Iowa, Indiana) when the respective crimes took place.

It also seems appropriate to me to discuss any possible connection between JBC, Delphi, and other crimes; however, don't you (not necessarily you @StarryStarryNight, but the general "you") think that there is a big difference between these two hypothetical scenarios:

1. The Evansdale victims were possibly seen riding their bikes in the vicinity of a car wash (along with many other businesses including an auction house, etc) before going missing, and JBC mentions a car wash along with a train trestle in one social media post.

And this:

2. The Evansdale victims' bikes were found abandoned at a car wash after they went missing, and JBC mentions a car wash along with a train trestle in one social media post.

The first is probably true and the second is definitely false but doesn't the second one make it seem much more likely that there is a connection between JBC, Delphi, and Evansdale?

So just to sum up - whether the original poster stated something non-factual out of confusion, or to give more weight to a piece of speculation - shouldn't things that aren't true be called out with factual statements from LE and MSM? I'm not trying to shut down speculation, I'm calling for the speculation to contain accurate facts.

I think we’re just kinda talking parallel. Maybe I misunderstood the discussion.
I thought the debate was about whether “car wash and trestles” was appropriate to discuss. The bikes were not found at a car wash, that seemed clear, so I was only showing that the nearby carwash would make “car washes and trestles” a valid conversation. Nothing more. It seems the discussion has moved on anyway.

It remains a rather strange thing for him to have said.

Don't know if it's true in Indiana but one of our members posted that a citizen who is on parole, as JC was att, then that parolee cannot deny a search request by officials.

You have to wonder what he was thinking of… besides it being an obviously extremely horrendous and evil crime, in terms of his own self-preservation it doesn’t make any sense. He could never have let her go alive, she lived right next door. What could he have been thinking of? Supposedly he loves his dogs, loves hiking and camping— what the heck did he think he was doing?

Has anyone thought to check out any dating websites (Match.com, eHarmony, Tinder, etc) to see if JBC has accounts? I would suggest looking at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and pedophelia sites to check too, although I doubt anyone here access those websites. I certainly don't! Even if JBC didn't use his name, searching by user state and online profile photos might be worth a look.
Tinder is a dating site???

I will gladly eat my words but I don't think JCB is the guy. This killer is cunning and not loud mouth like JCB on fb. The real culprit imo blends in a lot better.

I'm worried about the forensic evidence they do have it isn't enough to create a profile and i've read what is probably rumours that they only have 6 markers of dna meaning they can rule out but not identify. I really hope this case doesn't remained unsolved but I'm not hopeful.

I do not think it is him because he does not fit the type of person I would be looking for. Each of us has an opinion about the type of person who we think committed this crime.

Abigail Williams and Liberty German's case is a great example in how each person looks at the evidence. The first requirement for me regarding any suspect is that they are 50 or older at the time the crime was committed or they look 50 or older at the time the crime was committed. In my opinion, the person in Liberty German's phone video looks older than 50 years old. The current person of interest does not fit that first requirement. I would be incredibly surprised if he is the killer. Even though he fits the LE profile of 18-40 and may look younger, that again is what LE thinks and I think, at least in this particular case, they are wrong.

There is a lot of debate on whether the Monon High Bridge trail area is desolate or not. In my opinion, it does not look the type of place where people ride their bikes or take long runs listening to their headphones. I think this killer probably visits desolate little known wildlife areas throughout their life. For some reason this environment figures in their crimes.

In my opinion, it does not seem like their killer was seen or at least remembered well enough to help LE. There do not seem to be any witnesses. That is probably the most perplexing part of Abby and Libby's case.

There is one aspect of any person of interest that would really surprise me when considering the video/audio from Liberty German's phone. Let me paraphrase this point by remembering that a lot of criminals do not always do the smart thing.

If you were the killer and you saw a picture or video along with audio of yourself on ABC Nightly News, would you post pictures of yourself on social media afterwards?

Yes, we have no information on what exactly the new direction was predicated on. While it could have been a link between Delphi and another case, it also could have been any of numerous other factors that were considered in the beginning.
What were the numerous other factors that were considered in the beginning?

Although I’ve had a strong feeling that Chadwell is BG, you raise some questions (lol like your screen name ) that do give me stern pause. The over 50 thing. That does. The loner thing, yeah.. I think the last does, although it’s obvious no one in the world recognizes the video and audio. I’m conflicted, I guess:(

FWIW I always figure when LE talks to the public about an ongoing investigation, the least of their concerns is getting the truth across. They want to bring the perp in .... “we’re trying a new direction,” doesn’t really mean they’re trying a new direction IMO it means they hope that saying they’re trying a new direction might be helpful in some way toward cracking the case - JMO

It is natural for us to ask why. JC wasn't considering going to prison, only that he wanted to do dispicable tortuous things to her.

I suspect JC sat in his backyard in his TicTok chair watching children playing in their backyards and in the alley they shared.

The victim lived behind his home on Main Street. Perhaps she leaves the back door of her home heading to a friend's home when he approaches her with the chance to pet a dog.

I believe he visiciusly harmed her because the strong compulsion to assault the little girl was too great for him to deny the intense burning urge. He threw caution to the wind and would decide later what to do with her body.

i like that last point too! A good one ... but then again, if he was indigent / borderline homeless, who’s to say he knew what pics were on the news. And even if he did ..... what kind of imbecile is wanted on the news & posting his pic on SM ? The same sort of imbecile who stops attacking a child to get dressed & come out the basement to answer the door when LE rings ... moo

Possible Delphi murders suspect had a history of violence and drinking, brother reveals | Daily Mail Online

“He is pure evil,' Ashley Chadwell, 40, told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview. 'That is the only way to say it.

'He calls himself 'Outlaw', and he thinks he is this outlaw, always wanting to be Bobby Badass to whoever he can and fight them.

'But it's not just a little roughness and then you settle, he's always been out to hurt people. He wants to break bones and knock teeth out.'”

[...]

BBM:

“'Someone looks like somebody, that obviously does not mean that is the person,' Leazenby said.

Relatives of the murdered girls are being cautious about the arrest.

Mike Patty, Libby's grandfather, who raised her, told DailyMail.com: 'It's another tip that needs to be followed up.

'While this guy certainly could be, may be, possibly be, I've had 50,000 of those could be, may be, possiblys.

'We need to continue to convey to people that until an arrest is made, the guy who committed a double murder is still walking around a free man.'”
