JBC's 9-year-old victim didn't die, so he doesn't seem to be the efficient killer that I take BG to be. Maybe he couldn't go through with it; maybe he needed to get his nerve up, which I don't think BG would have needed to do. The survival of the victim argues against JBC's being BG.

It's very possible he would have killed her had LE not shown up at his place looking for her. Given what happened to her, I believe he would have. Jmo

The police literally came to his door looking for the 9 year old while he was in his basement attacking her. JMO, but I don't think there was any way she was not going to be killed if the police hadn't shown up when they did.

I do hope that JBC is BG for 2 reasons:

1. It would hopefully bring closure for the families, and

2. It would mean that the person responsible is already behind bars, and likely to stay there indefinitely based on his current case. I am concerned about whether the evidence from the Delphi would be strong enough to secure a conviction.

I swear if this isn't him I give up. He is fascinated with bridges and trains, hangs out in nature, has a history of impulsive, brazen, violent attacks (police officer, prison guard), but now we know it's not all "tough guy" in a brawl stuff - he is a pedophile as well and was violent to a 9 yr old girl. Every time I read through his FB and think he doesn't seem that scary, I remember he is the same person that was absolutely going to kill a 9 yr old. He is smack in the middle of the height and weight parameters. He has a ton of hair like the sketch and that was always what I figured made him "appear younger than his true age." He started a new job in early April which means he very possibly was unemployed in February. He is just the type to know about the Monon High bridge. Lives near it, fishs in creeks, sleeps under bridges, makes his FB cover photo a train crossing a bridge! Says guys all the time!

I don't think Kelsi saying LE hasn't given her positive feedback means anything. They are not going to say "I think it's him" until they know and he is ready to be charged. The fact they haven't told her he is ruled out means way more.

The current person of interest is certainly capable of being involved in the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German. But I would very surprised if he ends up being the killer.

If you saw the second press conference in April 2019 and you heard the police say that the killer "could be in this room", wouldn't that make you think they believe he is local to Delphi or the surrounding area? The idea that this man was posting on social media and only lives a short distance from Delphi, Indiana would be so surprising in terms of criminal psychology.

This is not to say that criminals do not do dumb things. But if you suppose for a second that the real killer walked in there and walked out of there without being seen or remembered well enough for a good description, would you continue to live close to the area where one of the witnesses could possibly remember you? Would you post on social media so that one of the amateur online detectives can find you and send in your picture as a side by side guess?

It does not seem like this person is their killer, but I agree we have to wait and see what happens.

If DC knew the killer was in the room, why continue to ask for tips to help lead to the identity of the killer?

Seems he was saying he “could be” but if not, then he wasn’t in the room. Two years have since passed by.

Yes, they are looking to have a big storyline so put a spin on it….I still hold out hope regarding JBC but I certainly can understand Kelsi being annoyed with various social media posts saying things like, Did you hear they caught that Delphi killer?

Kelsi (and other family members) have every right to be annoyed. Look at how much time and attention has been spent sleuthing JBC. How many people have decided "well, they caught him. I don't need to report my suspicion/information to the tip line." There is someone out there who has information. But they are too afraid to report it.

I may be the odd woman out, but I do not believe JBC is BG. I haven't since the very first post on social media indicating "he looks like BG- it must be him." We can justify just about anyone looking like him. We can justify just about anyone has the traits we believe BG has. Unfortunately, there are many horrible individuals out there, and JBC is one of them. But I don't believe he is BG. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree that all the people you wrote about have more experience and probably know more about the case. In other cases I have agreed with the LE profile. I just do not agree in this case. We could debate bridge guy's age and clothing all day because we do not know what the truth is.

I understand that from a LE perspective it has to be difficult to know which tips to investigate. When you have over 50,000 tips, which ones are worth following up on? I sent in the same tip a few times and no one followed up with me.

Is the case not solved because LE simply has not found the man they are looking for or received the email or phone tip that leads to his arrest? Somebody knows something in the Delphi area about the killer who is hiding in plain sight and this person just has not contacted police yet.

Or is the case not solved because LE is looking in all the wrong places and does not know who murdered Abigail Williams and Liberty German? They are waiting for a tip that is not going to come because everyone is looking for a young man who is local to the Delphi, Indiana area. The sketches, especially the second one, have become the face of the investigation. Unfortunately because of the blurriness of Liberty German's phone video, people are going to focus on looking for the person depicted in the second sketch. That second sketch is now the image people think about when it comes to the case of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

When I think about this case I keep asking myself the following question: What if Liberty German had not videotaped the man on the bridge? If you asked me whether that would change my perspective about this case, the answer would be absolutely. I would think that what LE put out in terms of sketches is the best lead that should be followed. When all you have is a sketch made from someone's best recollection of memory, then that is what you should follow.

Everytime I watch the April 2019 PC, I still get hung up on "...the result of the new information and investigation over time...".

Sheriff Leazenby is quoted in that RadarOnline article as saying "DNA testing research" was done right before Christmas 2018. Then there was CE being looked at in January 2019.

When was that "new information" received and was it straight up tipped, maybe the vehicle parked/"abandoned" or something LE discovered from the December 2018 testing or the January 2019 arrest?

I believe DC was just speaking about a possibility regarding “the killer, who could be in this room”. Not fact.

Didn’t they have cameras up and look closely at all who attended the press conference ? I would hope so.

I want Chadwell to be BG but I’m afraid he’s not (just general anxiety about it) or that if he is, they won’t be able to link hm (as a poster has said up thread).

Maybe with additional work into the video it was determined the photo/frame of the younger looking face is more accurate the older looking one?
