when you say ...LE has evidence..
what is exactly the kind of evidence that makes you believe they KNOW what they are looking for ?
we already have the vid and the recording and the witnesses
so whats that evidence you think they have ?

Thanks so much for the article. I was focused on a semen sample and totally blanked as to being a touch DNA etc. Appreciate this as these days, it's totally different with touch DNA and other mixed samples. Brain lapse on my part and this article is on target to correct and change my assumptions.

Thanks for your response and I appreciate it. In my original post that you first replied to, I was indeed thinking of something like a mixed contributor sample from under fingernails or possibly on a garment - you understand now where I was going with it. But it's just speculation because we truly don't know what LE actually have in this case.

the video, recording and few witnesses
That is their evidence, IMO

If the investigation is on the right track then it is probably just a matter of time before the right person is arrested. Everyone has an opinion about that and the sketches and video. I think LE will continue to go through each tip over and over. It is difficult to say this is a cold case because of that.

No one knows what evidence police have in this case, but this case has that feeling of becoming a case study for other LE investigations that no matter how many tips you receive, the part that matters is being able to choose the right one. I thought at the beginning with the video and audio the girls got of the man on the bridge that this case would be solved quickly. This case proves nothing is a sure thing.

I love that quote. But it does give me a lump in my throat. :(

I agree with all of this, and will add my $.02.

I could Monday morning quarterback some of the decisions made by LE regarding the release of information that we all are aware of, but I'm not in their shoes.

I'm impressed by the fact that it appears the integrity of the investigation continues. The last thing we need are leaks, which tells me some of the best people in LE here in Indiana and within the FBI are involved with the case. I've said it since before the 2019 presser, it's up to the public to notify LE of people they think might be BG.

Just to add to the BBM part...
the BEST people in Indiana is the whole town of Delphi who have been tight lipped during all of this.
I mean, not one peep from locals, except a random gossip or two but this whole town who most were out searching for the girls, have not made public statements or anything from LE interviews with them.
Much to our dismay, of course, as we want to know what the locals know, we want to know what LE knows, but I respect the silence and do not want to jeopardize the case due to leaks.

The trucker idea was around at the start, iirc. However, I've set the idea aside because there has been no indication of a long-haul truck or cab in the area.

I think BG was probably on foot or possibly on bike.

I wish we knew JBC's work schedule that day because he either has an alibi with a job or doesn't have one at all, imo

good information

That's true! The only local I've seen start any discourse in the case was in a FB group - I can't remember their name but they weren't even in town when the incident occurred. I'm impressed that nothing has been leaked to the public because it's such a high profile case.

Imagine, the real Delphi killer is someone, who stalks not only teenage girls (online), but perhaps also their surroundings, in which they live. He might find for example JBC (or/and DN and so on) on the net and personal data as well as the living circumstances: family history, education, jobs, leisure activities, criminal record/s, whereabouts. The real killer chooses JBC plus some other men for being well matching future suspects, if a crime (abduction, murder) would happen in their area, preferably a park/nature reserve/lake/creek/wood. Imagine, the real killer in his mind combines the well matching "suspects" with online chosen victims (teenage girls, one or two) and now he plans, where to go next for his murder mission. Further step would be to scout a certain terrain, online and at least once in person. Last step by the killer would be: to reach his goal in letting the crime happen like depicted in his killing fantasies. The murderer flees unrecognized, and afterwards it unfolds just as planned, namely police are overwhelmed with a huge outdoor terrain and many possible, well matching suspects. Crimestoppers is getting 40.000 calls/mails - nearly impossible to deal with, also taking into account human fallibility. Video/audio or not - due to clever preparations for the crime (disguise of voice and body/head) afterwards the way is now again open for hiding in plain sight and being a normal, respected citizen like before. Until the next crime in another state or the same state once more.

Years ago I wouldn't have had these ideas, but now in 2021 they have gradually expanded. There must be a certain reason, why there are numerous men living in the area, which could very well be the suspect and turn out as being not the right one.
JBC II and what we know about him seems to be a match. But I'm not sure, if he indeed is the one or if he is one of those "guys", who the real killer had in mind, when "creating" a double murder scenario, this time in Delphi. (Who knows, where he did the same or similar before.)

If JBC is the evil monster also from Delphi, I will be fairly surprised. Though to be wrong all the time is no problem, as long as the killer is caught finally. 4 years waiting for it, is actually too much.

I've just been loking at BG still photo over and over and I'm leaning towards him wearing a cap underneath a hoodie. So for people who see one or the other I'm seeing both. I think it's quite smart if you are planning to commit a crime cover all identifiable features like hair/receding hairline etc.

or ear lobe gages.

So I am looking at pictures of him on FB on Aug 17th, 2017. Does he have the gages yet? It looks like a big hoop earring to me, not a gage. Also interesting that he is clean shaven like the first sketch. The picture on the 17th titled "daddy's best friend" gives me goosebumps, I really see the bridge picture, although I am not sure exactly why.

I agree that the BG bridge photo/video shows a man with hat and or hoodie on. Other posters see hair only, but it‘s too oddly shaped on top in the still photo to be free flowing hair, if you ask me. <modsnip>

Question is, why not cover your nose too? It’s JMOO, but I think it was just a beard shield/guard, not made to cover the nose. As far as I know, the only hair seen was hair sticking out from is cap/hat. Having longer hair on the sides of your ear were a hat rest can cause the hair to wave or curl in the wind, giving the impression of curly/ hair, especially, if it was an Ivy cap or flat cap type hat. Is it possible that BG could look like” Gallagher” underneath that hat?

I’d sure hope LE has much more evidence than that prior to murder charges being laid. The witnesses were not eye witnesses to the murder occurring. The quality of the video isn’t clear enough to identify any one person. IMO the only purpose behind it’s release was the hope to spark recognition leading to a tip to aid in the identification of a suspect but I can’t see it becoming critical evidence in any conviction. The 50,000 tips received are proof of the huge number of possibilities.

My imagination takes me to a courtroom - a defence attorney parading dozens of men in a long line in front of the jury - each who closely resemble the suspect.

Just because LE hasn’t informed the general public (nor the murderer) with details of the evidence doesn’t prove they have nothing more.

I agree. They must have something that they cannot share that is important - I have a hard time believing that there isn't any evidence that hasn't been released to the public.

Don't have any links right in front of me but LE has repeatedly stated they are keeping a lot of evidence, essentially all of it, back from the public so they will know if and when they are talking to the killer.

There's some non-zero amount. We don't know how much or what it is.

Way old question ..... maybe someone will remember. IIRC sources said the girls’ bodies were found in a location that would be hard to reach on foot - Does anyone recall how / why on that? Was it like a really steep incline, or no path through dense trees, or what? And was it ‘hard to reach’ as in you had to walk a while, or ‘hard to reach’ as in pretty much inaccessible, or what ?

Thanks!
