Thinking more about shots, just because this is the latest thing LE has released, it doesn’t mean this is the be all end all. Meaning, this could be one of MANY irons they have in the fire. As we know, LE only reaches out when they need something from the public. So they obviously want to know more about shots, but this doesn’t mean this is their main lead, maybe just one they need help with.

Eta: this just popped up on my YT feed, it’s from a sting in FL a few days ago, video about a “To Catch a Predator” Chris Hansen type operation by LE.

This reinforces what we all know - there are infinite number of individuals who attempt to meet up with minors, anyway I thought this video sort of went along with the tone of the conversations. I think one guy here looks like BG. Just like all the other infinite people.

Not the answer I would have expected, but maybe its not an easy question to answer. Now if I could say one thing to Abby and Libby, I would say "do you know who killed you"? Not the answer he gave, which frankly seems to be seeking approval for the police investigation. Well, I'm sure it's a difficult profession, being a police officer, and I guess it will take a toll on the peace and sanity of those who have to investigate cases such as this. Just MOO, but it does seem to have taken a toll on DC, may he and all those damaged by this horrible crime find peace soon, and justice.

I haven’t watched the video yet, but from reading, this seems like an appropriate answer, imo, and doesn’t catch me off guard - it makes sense, they’re working their hearts off, wanting to get justice for these girls and their families, and there may be some guilt for lack of a better term for not arresting the killer yet, so they want the girls to know they are doing their best and trying so hard. Maybe proud wasn’t the best word, but I get what he means, I think.

I thought that NO SHOOTING sign was interesting; we've talked about that quite a lot but never knew if shooting was common there. That clip also has a view of the area that I've never seen.

People don't usually put up no shooting signs unless people are shooting where they aren't supposed to.

Yes,,,CS much closer to water and is hard to see from RL /Cemetery area.
I can see how they were missed that first night.
Plus everyone was looking for possible injured girls, not murdered girls.

HLN just posted this tweet about the upcoming special tomorrow night and in it Barbara McDonald says about the jailhouse interview with KAK:

"He says investigators have told him that he was the last person to communicate with Libby before her murder"

So not only did KAK actually communicate with Libby, but he was the last person to do so (aside from Abby I guess?). Not sure what to make of that, if they are only talking about social media or what. Very interested in what exactly that means and when specifically he supposedly last communicated with Libby.

I am thinking maybe through the Anthony S profile.

I don't see his answer as seeking approval. LE's motto is "To protect and serve" I think any officer of the law would feel sorry these children couldn't have been protected proactively.

Also the "To serve..." would be adressed by his comments also. The upset of having the investigation be at 5 years without an arrest yet, the families suffer and I'm sure LE has deep empathy for that suffering. AJMO

I'm starting to wonder about many things and how they could connect to KAK. One I hadn't considered much was Libby's factory reset. IF she was being catfished by anthony_shots, it would be quite easy for whomever was using that account and fake persona to trick young girls to tell them, oh boy I got hacked with a bad bug and had to reset my phone. Maybe you should too?

KAK factory reset a phone two days before the search warrant at his Dad's house. Then he turned that phone into LE himself days after the search was done.

Only thing is, wouldn't LE tech forensics have picked up on that, with Libby's phone, if anthony_shots communication showed up? So is that what happened way back at the beginning, LE techs missed the connection?

I can sympathize with LE, as the weight of solving this horrific crime must be enormous. That said, this isn't about him or the men and women investigating this case. His answer was self-serving and, frankly, completely out of line.
He should have said we have not and will not stop until this murderer is behind bars and justice is served.

I would think the techs certainly would have. One of the first things, checking social media accounts and any social media interaction with the victims. Libby and Abby's phones would have been a priority, IMO

even if he was REALLY the last to interact with libby...this still can be have zero relation to the murder..they have to prove a catfishing angle
I still firmly believe its a planned attack and random victims..
a catfishing would def have a trace from that day...and has nothing to do with a reset days before cause the attack happened at a specific given time
creeps like KAK on the other hand will not usually try and meet any victim cause thats why they are using a model profile...to get what they want that way

Since this is a nice fresh thread let me share my current top theory on this case that I think is a reasonably likely course of events.

I believe that one or both of the girls had the anthony_shots profile on their Instagram friends list or perhaps even interacted with it. I have come to lean towards it not being directly related to their murders and that law enforcement released that info in hopes of some other woman who had actually met "shots" coming forward and connecting that profile to one of their suspects, probably Chadwell.

I think that the girls were killed by an opportunistic child predator operating in and around Delphi. Chadwell looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.
