I could be off on this, but that whole business of the new building and needing dozens of people after the arrest sounds to me like they're about to tap into a really big child porn ring or something like that.

If DTH was at the end, then why did the recording stop? Timed out, told to stop recording?

Had he known that she was recording, would he have left the device wherever it was found? I'd still like to know, was it hidden on LG's person somewhere (eg: up the sleeve of her sweater), or was it found on the ground somewhere?? Where was it? This matters to me because if it was hidden on her person, the killer may have not known he was recorded at all until LE said so. Imagine his shock? I'd have paid good $$ to see his shock at learning that if he really had no idea he'd been recorded!!

My conclusion? No.

Swirling about is the KAK stuff, and possibly there is something contained therein. But for me, LE has yet to have conclusive evidence, else the discussion would vastly differ.

They think they know a lot about the offender and that is great, but I don't think they have his name yet, or where to find him. THey probably know his motivation for committing the crime, whether it was premeditated and if so how long he'd been thinking on and planning it out. THey know the cause and manner of death. THey probably know his movements before the murder to some extent (eg: the hour beforehand). They don't seem to know the afterwards - where he went, how he got there, who he lives with / lived with, where he works or worked. They may not even know what brought him to that area that day unless it was strictly to find and attack someone.

No new information released so therefore 90% of what we can do here in this forum is just speculate on what LE has said and what other facts are known that have been corroborated (for example by the family).

Nothing much to go on I'm afraid.

It’s very frustrating as an outsider looking in so I can’t imagine how the family feels. It’s just bizarre to have audio, video, pictures as evidence and yet it still feels as if the case is walking through quick sand. The sketches have also been a disaster imo.

Five years ago best friends Abigail Williams and Liberty German were found murdered in Delphi, Indiana.
Today – the Delphi murders remain unsolved.

KAK sure sounds really similar to BG. Not saying it’s him but BG must be from around the same area IMO.

He doesn't look like the man on the bridge, though. I see the BG being no taller than 5'10", probably, shorter. As to the voice, I don't know how much they processed the recording.

P.S. we chewed, for 6 mo, on JBC because LE threw us that bone. Now the same is happening with KAK. He did not kill them, otherwise, LE would be happy to close this case.

This is a good possibility. Not much to add but I am still following this every day for 5 years. I just keep getting older and hope I live long enough to see these 2 young ladies' family get answers.

Agree.
Knowing that there are 43 seconds of video tells us nothing.
SHOW us the 43 seconds, or at least as much as you can, and maybe someone can actually identify him.
The HLN special just solidifies my thoughts that LE in this case has really messed this thing up, and continue to do it.
Let the public help you! Release some information! But they won’t. I think it’s turned into an ego thing for them.

Agree, but do those who know more than I do about how that works see any evidence as far as known involvement of agencies that would be involved in a big child sex abuse ring? Would we have some bigger clues?
My other thought had been that they have a suspect with unlimited funds for defense and they don’t have a solid enough case. I think about that scenario less and less now since my wealthy POIs have fallen way down my list.
Still, it could be the case that it’s both—big ring and someone involved has the funds and motivation to fight.

The FBI would be involved, but they wouldn't necessarily be in charge, I don't think. And if they were involved, we wouldn't necessarily hear about it.

I mean, the only things I can think of that would need that much after-arrest support would be child porn, sex trafficking, gun running, and drugs, and we haven't seen any evidence of the others.

ETA: I guess maybe if they identified a prolific serial killer, maybe?

It wouldn't have to be KAK, would it? He might have just been the crack that let them look into that world. And if LE was onto a big porn ring, might they delay the arrest to make sure they get the pornographers?

That sounds like a plausible theory too. There was a particular local who I thought fit that profile, but...

I’m just catching up with everything the last few days. The police soundbites are basically the same as they have always been but just said in a roundabout way - “Might be today. Might be tomorrow.” For me that makes me think they are no closer, at present, to a resolution on this unfortunately.

The new video info is interesting though, I always had it in my mind for whatever reason that “Guys, down the hill” was near the beginning of the video, so it would make you think there is more video of BG approaching Abby and Libby available but there’s obviously reasons we haven’t seen it.

There was clearly something about him that spooked them, that resulted in Libby starting a video recording. I wouldn’t be surprised if they passed him heading towards the bridge, maybe a comment or look was passed between them at that time, and when they realised he had followed them onto the bridge the alarm bells started going off for them.

Chilling to think about, it always is.

If Abby and Libby expected to see a guy matching the anthony_shots profile, and this creep shows up, let's say, near the beginning of the trailhead; then, perhaps they rebuffed his initial greetings and salutations because they expected to see the perfectly hot guy in the profile; not someone looking like KAK.

Then, once on the bridge, they see the same creep, does spook them, when he's is coming across at a rapid pace. Libby can scamper off the bridge but Abby is still a bit shaky and it takes her longer to reach the end. However, Libby begins the video as soon as she's off the bridge and BG is about 60' away.

Someone in the last thread wondered how the girls were manipulated as the Police stated. A threat of a firearm can manipulate good folks into doing unthinkable things. They followed his orders by going down the hill. I don't know if they decided to run thru the Creek without his permission or if he ordered them to cross the Creek. If he did, then he knew exactly where they would die before he ever approached those precious girls.

Parents of young teens should share this chilling story in hopes that their children will become cautious when dealing with strangers online.

I think Carter talking about the need for 80-100 investigators after the arrest could be related to something he said back in 2019. For the podcast Down the Hill, he did an interview in the episode "Three Februaries" where he sat with Mike Patty in the Patty home and they talked about the fact that there are two "deliverables" in the case: the first, is, of course, making an arrest. And the second deliverable is that the prosecutor has to successfully prosecute the case against that person. One of the things Carter said that stuck out to me was this:

"Once the arrest is made, all 50,000 tips are going to be dissected. Every single one of those tips will be dissected, and we're going to find out if there's any kind of activity. Because if we jeopardize this, we can't pull it back."

So to me, I think his insistence that the dissection of the investigation and of any tips that did or did not come to fruition would occur, is related to his assertion that they will need dozens of investigators working after the arrest in order to dot every i and cross every t on the case that they are building. JMO

I think something like that is entirely possible in terms of them bumping into BG early on at the trailhead and something happening between them.

I am not in the KAK is BG camp though, I just don’t see it personally. The guy is a creepy monster no doubts but I don’t think he is this creepy monster.

I am almost 30 years old and have no clue how I would react to someone aiming a deadly weapon at me nevermind how I would have reacted at 13-14 years old. The initial manipulation of them to do what he wanted - if a weapon was definitely involved - wouldn’t have been overly difficult imo.
