From my logical reasoning: I would say its as simple as letting someone walking in the opposite direction cross before you enter. And possibly not passing someone who is walking in the same direction if you are behind them and walking faster than they are. JMO

This police chief mentions the possibility LE may have been following up on the second suspect the entire time. That’s a thought, for a time LE may have not wanted him to know they were even aware of him.

“...Brian Jarvis, a retired police chief in New York and long time investigator says it's possible new information may have be behind the newly released sketch.

"It could have been that they received new information, an alibi may have come in, or something that might have changed," Jarvis said.

Jarvis has been a lead detective for other high profile cases such as the Aileen Wuornos case. He says while police may have held onto the second sketch for years, it doesn’t mean they weren’t following up on it.

"You may have leads like this one, this picture, that didn’t have a lot of value initially for whatever reason, and they were trying to build up the value to get a more accurate depiction of what this lead represented," he said.

Jarvis added without being involved in the investigation, he can’t say for sure what led to the release....”

That's a really good point! I'd never thought of the idea that they were following this guy the whole time, but didn't want him to know.

In that case, the pivot could signal that they're closing in! I certainly hope so.

I sort of skimmed over the bolded part of the quote above when i saw it the first time, but the more I think about it, I realize that, even though LE has professed confidence in the 2nd "current" sketch, it's still just an approximation of what the murderer may look like. It would be helpful to know if the witness had confidence in one or more aspects of the new sketch. For example, "I think he had eyebrows like that, but I'm absolutely sure those are the lips. . ." IMO MOO

Anyone else notice this reference to the girls being killed quickly? It seems to answer the question, "were they moved" with a "No".

If you have a suspect in mind, somebody with a connection to Delphi who more or less looks like the sketch, I’m sure your tip will be welcomed by LE. As for releasing more evidence, sounds like Carter is anxious to lay it all out during the suspect’s criminal court proceedings but not before then -

“We believe you are hiding in plain sight,” Carter said. “For more than two years…. We likely have interviewed you or someone close to you. We know that this is about power to you, and you want to know what we know – that one day, you will.”...”

I think we also have to remember that Delphi is a tiny Indiana town, population 2800/2900 +/-. I live in a tiny river town that is one square mile, population 5700/5800 +/-.
While Delphi is a small town, the space it takes up is spread out more than mine. We also have our own PD.
Had this happened here, EVERYONE would have been interviewed. I also know most people here if only by sight. You can tell a "tourist" just by their demeanor.
IF BG lives in Delphi, LE knows who it is and simply doesn't have enough to connect him to the crime. What really kind of disturbs me is that I feel people might be protecting him, because in my town the residents would come together like a vigilante group and sit on him.
I don't doubt for 1 minute that Carter and crew questioned him or someone who knows him. TO ME, the presser was an open conversation to him, about him, to trigger him.
I just hope it doesn't take another two years for LE to link him solidly.

That’s right on. I sure hope the frustration isn’t coming from people who’ve provided tips on sketch #1 who were banking on the reward money coming their way because otherwise I must admit, I don’t understand why it’s not darn good news to know this investigation continues to move forward.

IMO its great police are breaking through and they really know who they are looking for. This is tough case.
No mention of reward at the 4/22 PC.

I finally see this rod thing in his pant leg as well. I slowed the video to its slowest speed, and there it was. I’d be interested in how your experiment turns out. It looks more like a rod or thick stick of some kind to me.

Go back to the last thread #92 and do a search for ridge or rod. Another poster brought this same idea up and posted a pic of a certain type of police baton with a handle that he/she believes BG had down his pants leg.

Sorry I'm slightly behind and back to the hair again...so the video of the guy on the bridge is still the suspect yes? He's either wearing a hat or his hair is straight. But this new sketch has the hair as curly/wavy. So if he was wearing a hat why not include that again in this new sketch? I'm so confused.

Also when they said that the man in the first sketch is no longer a POI..then who is he? Is he an actual person at all, or is it just a depiction that turned out to be way off and he's not a literal second man?

Wierd, that they were found in open space. I would think he took them somewhere not so open to the view of other hikers. I think whatever happened was quick.
