In regard to DNA evidence here, there’s 4 main possibilities as I see it:

They have a perfect sample, and know it came from the suspect (unlikely, as I think we’d have a firm DNA generated description of him).

They have a perfect sample, but don’t know it came from the suspect (quite possible).

They have a sample, but it’s of low quality (I think this is most likely).

They have no DNA from anyone who could be involved (unlikely).

Yup. Parabon said that Vanessa Marcotte’s killer was about 30.

He was 31.

That was the first time I knew that sort of thing was even possible. It’s also why I don’t think they have a quality sample here (it doesn’t appear they have done this).

There’s a large age gap here, as they say he’s likely in his 20’s or 30’s.

Would anyone be working at this cemetery on a day to day basis digging graves that day for example?

I doubt it but possible. It doesn't seem to be that active, just a few burials each year from what I'm seeing on Findagrave.

The first/dark one is to show what is him and what is background. also to counter the sunlight on his face.

No one is protecting the killer. Your momma might protect you if you kill a friend, or an enemy. And your momma might lie for you if you kill a cop, but momma don't protect a budding serial killer of young girls. Just my opinion.

They may if they are in denial and don’t believe their loved one is capable of it.

Enmeshed families will go to great lengths to protect their loved ones.

What if it will end up in the situation not dissimilar to Gary Ridgeway? During 20-year-long manhunt for the Green River Killer, Gary was interviewed and was one of the suspects, but was let go as his coworkers unknowingly provided an alibi for him. When Ridgeway finally was arrested, the police, predictably, was very upset.

I wonder if this guy was interviewed early in the process, but either had some alibi, or someone provided it for him. Now something has reversed the situation back to that person.

My hunch is it has to do with the DNA. If I were to bet on several options, i’d say, DNA.

Also, to me he seems to be stocky, but people say, he wears layers.

Temperature sensation is a subjective thing. One of the reasons for constantly feeling cold would be underactive thyroid. A disease more common in women, it can be also seen in men, and on sketch 2 there in a slight neck bulge. (Unless it is artistic liberty?)

Also, the voice is not that of a young man. Either the person smokes 2 packs per day, or has laryngitis, or even vocal cord problem, but most likely, he is simply older.

It’s happened.

Girlfriends, friends, people who are scared.

There are also people who have their suspicions, who for whatever reason, decide to remain quiet.

It’s not the norm, but there is plenty of precedent.
I disagree, people who are scared turn in killers, they don't protect them. Unless they involved also and BG worked alone.

To me, he appears to be on the heavier end of that range.

It’s tough to tell in that grainy video, especially with his clothing, but he appears to be a rather stout man.

The definition of “dad bod.”

Please don't fat shame a cold-blooded double murderer. :(

It's disrespectful. :p

The FBI still has him heavier than I think he looks - 5'6" and 5'10", weighing 180 to 220 pounds.

Did someone say the police said he is around 5’9-5’10 and about 220 lbs? Is this correct information? If so, that seems stocky. For example, cardiologists want men at 6’0 ft to be between 170-180 lbs... However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the killer has attempted to alter his physique through dieting to conceal his identity.

I really, really hope it does not take 2 years to nail the murderer.

The Green River Killer's nickname at work was Green River Gary. All of his co-workers reported him, he was known for spending time with prostitutes, the police interviewed all of them, and they still didn't arrest him.

Oh I don't know, if he is a pedophile, they are often protected. Many times their families know but are in denial. JMO

You know, the way he walks, and holds the hand in his pocket, he reminds me of an exhibitionist, sorry. Maybe this is what the girls thought, too, so they decided to take the video. This might be the reason why he got so angry.

In other words, a pervert, but not a prior murderer, who got angry at the thought he was caught in action.

This may have been asked and answered; I'm sorry there is so many pages to read, and I must admit I have not read every one of them. So, are the sketches, in fact, two different people. The original guy thought to be the perp and now this guy, with the new picture? If so, why hasn't the first guy come forward to say, "hey, I was just taking a walk, I didn't do anything?" And, he would have had to see the other guy. I'm very confused about this. Maybe someone could please advise and set me straight. Thank you very much. Katt

Also, if there is financial dependence on the perp, some family members may look the other way.

I personally do not believe for one minute that the girls were planning to meet someone. Especially some stranger from social media.
Nothing is 100% certain however, children are famously taught that there can be dangerous people in the woods. I highly doubt Abby & Libby would meet a stranger in the woods. Everyone knows about “stranger danger” and the woods.

Their families know they are killing random young girls and are protecting them? I just don't think so.
