Ok... Just speculation.

What if this killer hadn’t been to Delphi for some time and didn’t realize those services were no longer available at this address, the building was abandoned.

This guy could easily be somebody like a camp counselor. youth pastor. or coach—someone who would have positioned himself to be around his preferred prey. I really, really wish LE would release more video, audio... something. Video-wise, though, I wonder if they just don't have very much of the BG. Liberty was probably trying to be inconspicuous with the phone, so probably didn't keep it on him very long.

Agree about the video, you’d think if we could see the next few seconds BG would walk into closer range as he approached the girls - but she probably put the phone down maybe and the best footage is what we already have? Another possibility is that as he approaches closer BG takes something out and LE doesn’t want that to be viewed; if you watch the video loop real close and focus on the brown fanny pack/shirt/whatever on his right side there appears to be a “thing” (not going any further than that) that looks as if it’s dangling under the brown and perhaps he even exposed something right as he walked up? speculation only based on the grainy footage.

Sometimes when you're undergoing trauma like this, adrenaline kicks in and takes over. It can be a defense mechanism. Some people fall apart when something bad like this happens, other people snap into action and find themselves feeling very calm. It's like the brain isn't allowing you to soak up all the information because it's trying to protect you.

You're right. They also didn't know that anything terrible had happened to the girls. At this point they were missing. A lot of people hold back their emotions in this situation so not to appear overly emotional if there is nothing wrong.

Thank you! As hard as I look I still cannot see the mustache or facial hair that others are seeing! It just looks like there is a dark shadow near his chin.
He does look younger with every new picture, though.

One thing I'm certain of, and the newest enhancements seem to support it: the man pictured definitely has a nose on his face. That's all I can be certain of.

Unfortunately, the image is very low resolution, and there are important details that are simply left out of the electronic data that has been captured.

One analogy that helps me is thinking about an old fashioned Polaroid being damaged by a shotgun. The pellets destroy (remove) sections of the image. You can magnify the photo, have experts examine it under a microscope, use the newest x-ray tech, etc. The bottom line is, there will be areas of the photo missing where the holes are.

You can draw inferences based on the remaining data (located adjacent to the holes), have a committee discuss the subject and offer opinions about what they think or believe once existed where the holes are now, but if sections of the photo are missing, that information is forever lost. IMO MOO

I’m going to give a broad reason for why I need to review this particular video. It was filmed shortly after the girls were reported missing. There were volunteers helping to search & they did interview several people.
I’m checking YouTube for it right now...it’s getting exhausting :/

I will be a happy camper when they do.

I hope he is caught soon. He has been walking around free way too long. It's hard for me to believe after killing two little girls that he hasn't killed again.

Why not, I'll throw my two cents in.

I first learned about this case a couple days ago thanks to a great presentation from a friend of mine, and have been devouring the thread ever since, so of course this is all my opinion and sheer and total speculation:

I think from watching that press conference, and seeing some other peripheral details (the former prosecutor returning, the pivot to having all communication with LE go through the prosecutor's office for clearance) that they have someone in mind, but are building a case. They probably don't have enough to bring someone in, they probably don't even have enough for any serious interviews, but I think they're going after a specific person.

Times like these are - from my completely amateur and entirely uneducated perspective - very important for LE/prosecutors. They have to make sure all evidence is gathered in the right way, that everything holds up to the utmost scrutiny, and that they can account for every possible reasonable doubt. If they start making information public, the person they're looking at can start destroying evidence, or the public can get involved and clutter up details.

False memory is also a very real thing! If people think long and hard enough about something, they can start to believe they remember it. They want to hold details back as much as possible to make sure any witness statement, as well as any confession, is confirmable by evidence that person wouldn't have had.

My fervent hope is that this guy gets brought in soon, and we can start having some of these questions answered.

I used my video enhancing equipment at my job and expanded the walk photo frame by frame, the guy in the photo is 18-28 maybe 30, he has chubby cheeks and looks like a babyface who cant grow a beard, he does not have a hat on, thats actually a frozen pixel,that is his hair he has shorter hair and parted and brushed forward, he has on a brown hoodie under the blue coat, the hood part is bunched up in back and gives the impression he has long hair in back or hat on, he had neither, their is an outline of a handgun in his right front coat pocket, his pants are cuffed kind of like the younger hipster kids wear them, the weight of gun is pulling down his coat almost to the point he has a big belly, hes not fat but is kinda husky.this guy if it is him in the video is young, almost so i dont think people would suspect him.

LE said at the presser that the new sketch is the person responsible for the murders of the girls, did they actually also directly say that the new sketch is BG? I think I've only seen that on here. But I think no matter what enhancements to the pics and whether he's ultimately wearing a hat or a hoodie I still see facial hair. So my hunch is they know who they are going after now and realized the guy has cut his hair and is clean shaven so as not to look like the originally released sketch. So they took the liberty to do that to the original sketch too (the artist has not indicated one way or the other whether the sketch released is identical to the one he drew) and that was the meaning behind the statement "you didn't expect us to take this investigative approach."

I encourage those of you with sharp eyes to take the pic of BG and view it with different filters. I just looked at it in Mono (B&W), Vivid, etc using my iPhone Photos app. When the shadows and light change, maybe someone can make out a detail or two more. Hey, anything is something at this point.

Today I had it up on my laptop and walked around the room looking at it from all angles. Close up, far away, to the left, to the right, with glasses, without....

The only real insight I got was that the sun was shining to the right of him, so he would have been walking south.

Personally I’m not sure.

My sense is that they have a sample that they can use to exclude suspects, but not something they can send off for advanced testing (Parabon).

If they had a high quality sample, I’m convinced they would have done that by now.

After 2 years of trying to dissect the pics of BG walking on the bridge, I’m as confused now as in the beginning. I’ve always tried to visualize the face itself (versus figuring out what the white thing is, whether he’s got a hat, etc) and just don’t see it being the younger guy. And honestly after the release of the video I don’t see how anybody could really tell gestures, posture, etc. with the tiny amount of footage shown. It would appear LE was also confused if they used the first sketch this long as “the guy” only to change gears totally and replace it with the new and improved BG. That tells me whatever video they really have from the phone isn’t much better than what any of us has seen now.

Tonight’s thought: Sup. Carter said at the PC “we’re just beginning...”. Does anyone else find that odd in light of the fact it’s been over 2 years? I might be overthinking it, but think it makes it sound like they aren’t any closer to resolution than in the beginning.

LE has not asked for any information about the car. IMHO, They either have the car or they know where it is. IMO they have linked forensic evidence between the 2 sites, the murder site and the parking site/car. It could be fiber, seed pods, hair,..... . They need to positively confirm who was driving the car between noon and 5 PM on February 13th.

As far as the 'abandoned' car, is there any information about could the car have been driven away by the perp earlier than 5 or what exactly happened with it?

Well, the way this has gone down, without a clear motive and no understanding if there is DNA or not, this could have such an outlandish motive.

I still hang in here, even when the tide is slow, because I want to know why and who did it. I would like it if someone who knew, but maybe didn’t participate outright, or may have been tricked, does the best possible s(he) can do in this situation. Night all...it may slow down after the new sketch and vid (and new attention), but that would perhaps be even harder on someone who has knowledge and sits on it.
