you are absolutely correct it could be a number of reasons......
I guess I should have said I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s connected
Jmo
Maybe he got bored in retirement!

I think there's very little likelihood that BG will elect to go the "suicide by cop" route, and by very little likelihood, I mean, no chance whatsoever.
I agree with what @matt johnson expressed in an earlier post re: whether BG would opt for suicide over capture:
"Won’t kill himself, doing it for the notoriety and would prefer jail."
That statement rings true to me.
JMO.
IMO, I don't believe this killer is looking for notoriety. When he's hopefully arrested and his identity is known, I think he will be ashamed (not remorseful). I also think his family and friends will be truly shocked and horrified. I don't believe this guy is a loner either.

Can you provide links to search warrant or address?Via realmapa, and using the address of the first searched house (search warrant),
there is an interesting vehicle parked on the side of the road nearby.
(After initially going to the website, go the opposite of the approaching cars, past the bridge)
Could just be coincidence of course. I just have a hard time ignoring how quickly LE searched this house.
Me too, but my hubby is one of them! I think it depends on how much you liked your job. Easy to go back and double dip when you find fulfillment in what you're doing. Looks like this DA doesI’m not sure why anybody would get bored of retirement ...hahaha
First off I thought it would post a link not a redirect. I have been watching this story since it broke I've read many thoughts on tools/weapons that BG had on him and many thoughts on the condition of the girls bodies at their funeral. I believe BG has on oversized jeans. There appears imo that there is something long under one leg. I researched long square machetes after I watched a recent video round table discussion where one of the women clearly used the word machete as a weapon then added another type of weapon and looked rather suprised at her own comment when she blurted out machete so quickly. This webpage redirection, if you read it, tells someone how to hang or attach a machete inside their pants. It also mentions having to wear larger sized pants in order to do it. It hit home imo on what that item may be in those jeans. Sorry it redirected.WTS was that??
As an adult, I should know better than to follow a vague link on the interwebs.
Can you provide links to search warrant or address?
I'm having a hard time following. And then which website?
I had thought some of the words Carter spoke to him were designed with the hopeful intent of provoking a confession. So you could be right.

Something to keep in mind too:
Everyone keeps saying this guy isn’t going to just walk In and confess. How ludicrous for LE to think that......etc
I’m not so sure the confession they are hoping for is necessarily to them.
I think they may be hoping he will tell a friend or family etc
Jmo
Forgive me if this is "out there" but I wonder if he has already revealed it to someone, LE have now let him know they know and the individual he confessed to is working with LE to flesh him out. Maybe they expect the killer to confront the confidant and are surveilling for that possibility? Just a wild thought that came to my tired headSomething to keep in mind too:

Do you think he has already told family or friend??
I don't I have a real hard time thinking someone could know who has done this and not inform LE.
I Think someone probably has suspicions but maybe doesn't know for sure though.
I guess I'm naive but if anyone came to me and told me they had done this I would tell LE for sure so I kind of think most other people would too.
I hope you are right. It’s just hard for me to understand an individual that feels entitled to taking two innocent lives not having some narcissistic characteristics.Agree. I actually think the last thing he would want is notoriety. I don't understand the opposite opinion at all with regard to this crime.
Why do you think LE has not released (nor has it leaked) the cause of death, time of death, or if DNA was recovered at the scene? I am going to assume that no DNA was recovered or we would have seen a geneological search conducted and a suspect after 2 years. I know the standard line of keep close those things that only the killer would know but I am surprised after all this time nothing has leaked.
I doubt he has told anyone specifically, but I do believe there are probably things a friend or family knows that have just not yet been connected in their brain
Or maybe they have, maybe they are on the phone with an investigator as I type
Wouldn’t that be nice
Initially, something would have led LE to this man's home, whatever it was. He was cleared of involvement. It's within the realm of possibility that this innocent man may have some connection to the killer without even knowing it. A friend of a child a friend of a friend? I get the feeling BG grew up in Delphi and knew that area well. Frequented the foot bridge as a teen himself, with his buds. All just MOOWithin days of the murders police received a tip on this man, they executed a search warrant and he was publicly cleared. I’m quite sure it’s not a topic open for resleuthing here.
“Delphi police publicly cleared the man from the search warrant on Bicycle Bridge Road, but threats were posted on social media, prompting authorities to again tell people not to harass the man because he was not involved in the killings.”
High-publicity investigation means keeping a low profile
