I too think parents could be covering.
The thought of their beloved child being convicted could be keeping them quiet. They could be in denial.
Their whole social standing and life style would be in ruins if it was revealed it was their son.

This is probably a very, very stupid question, and one that may have been addressed previously, but how do LE know with certainty that BG is THE suspect? Is it because he was the only other person known to be on the bridge with them? Or are we to assume that there is more unreleased video footage of that specific individual on the phone (and potentially footage of that person actually committing the crime, as horrible a thought that is)?

Again, stupid question probably
I’m guessing that the voice came immediately after (maybe even during) the video of him, and they stated that the attack commenced right after the video. At the very least, he had to be there during the attack. So he is the attacker.

I think BTK, Dennis Rader, wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer either. His first murders were the Otero's, and he had no idea the father and brother were home at the time. He alone was able to subdue 4 people at once. Luck, not skill. Took advantage of the "Freeze" part of "fight or flight" and the love the family members had for one another, wanting to keep each other safe by being cooperative. He would have gotten away with 10 murders but for his huge ego and arrogance that he was smarter than LE, and his stupidity in believing the lie that LE fed him about not being able to trace a CD from his church.

Well, unless BG has been living under a rock, whether he heard a ring or not, I would think he would assume there’s a strong likelihood that one or both of these teens had a phone. Apparently, it seemed of no consequence to him. MOO

Honestly, my opinion is the phone got away from him. In the water, in a bush. If I remember correctly one of the parents was calling out for the girls shortly after 3 PM. IMO, BG wanted to run and get away from the area quickly.

I said this in the last thread, but Ronnie Dean Busick killed Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman (teenagers). First murders and, as far as I know, the only time he killed.

Ernest Broadnax killed Lynn Seethaler and Janice Pietropola (teenagers) in 1973. Also first murders.

Cary Stayner's first murders were of 3 women (2 teenagers and 1 adult).

Holly Marie Wells and Jessica Aimee Chapman (10 years old) in 2002, England. Keith Pryer's first, and only murders.

There are more.

Then we add in the unsolved cases, where the killer is still unknown, and therefore may have been his first. Ex: Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins

I agree. I also don't think he would have wanted to take it with him anyway and have it be tracked to him. He probably didn't know his photo had been snapped, nevermind the audio/video.

I just had a terrible thought with regard to the photo. When the killer is caught I sure hope he does resemble that photo so we don't have a Jessica Chambers/Quinton Tellis issue at the trial. For those not familiar, Jessica Chambers was burned to death in a car and she gave some dying words to first responders to identify her killer. Unfortunately what she said didn't sound anything like Quinton Tellis even though all the other evidence was stacked against him. There have been two mistrials so far because of this. Well, that and the fact that the first jury was full of dum dums.

For those of you who think this is his first murderS, honestly I am very surprised by how many have said this and I’m wondering what leads you to that opinion. I was also wondering for reference if anyone can name a child killer who’s first kill was a dual homicide? Tia. This must surely exist as we see mass shootings for example which are a “first kill”, but specifically for discussion purposes as related to child killers and likely pedophiles I do wonder about a dual homicide as a first crime. Anything is possible but imo I would lean towards this not being his first murder.

Also, how you feel about his victim count, etc could also depend upon how old you think the suspect is. If he is closer to 20, well then chances are likely his body count is less than if he is 40. Big difference between 20 and 40 imo as far as how this all goes down.

I don't think this is his first "time". By that I mean it may have been his first murder, but not his first hunt (or stalk). The video of him on that bridge appears to me, that he is on a mission. He knows in his head what he plans on doing, he has had these thoughts before. I believe he is carrying tools of evil in his jacket, he is stalking the girls, and he commits his evil act quickly. This is all my opinion. Don't know if he had these two specific girls in mind, or went to that location looking for any opportunity.

Which also, IMO, is that he was familiar with the area. I don't feel he was living there presently (Delphi), but he did at one time, traveled there often because he used to live there or visited often. IMO, it would be normal for him to be in and out of Delphi, so leaving town and out of sight/mind would not be suspicious.

All my opinion/theory.

I think that's been my main problem with his videos. I take them as interesting information to supplement other interesting information that I know, but I don't consider them to be official so there's always a big grain of salt with them. There are those who follow his videos like they're the gospel and that things MUST have happened that way, but at the end of the day I figure he's just a layperson who's still just coming up with theories like the rest of us.

Agreed

Well done etc......still amateur speculation

Why would he pull any videos because LE says that ALL reenactments are wrong?

They clearly said "all" and that that's how they know nothing ever leaked. All reenactments are just the person's opinion since there are almost no facts that have been released so far. Just because someone says it on youtube doesn't mean it's true. Youtube is no different than any other social media, and people make money off of their videos, so that's another reason why they keep posting videos about true crime that are just full of speculation trying to sell it as "the truth". And yes, there are videos that "reenact" the case with "actors".

The people who post videos about crime are just like people who post their opinions here, just because they put their face in front of a camera and voice their opinion that way doesn't make it more true. The only difference is, if you post here, you will not make money off of your posts. ;)
You are correct with your last sentence. I never make any money posting here on WS, but sometimes Harmony gives me a cup of coffee and a vanilla frosted donut in the early morning hours.........Hint,hint, hint.....mooo

I don't think I have seen this posted over here, but Libby's sister Kelsi posted this on Twitter on April 25th in reply to another post.

Kelsi German‏ @libertyg_sister Apr 25

"Every bit of what is available to be released has been released. People asked for more video and they got it. Asked for more audio, they got it. What is out there will help someone."

True. (Kentuckian here) Sometimes just "All Y'all" (sans "of") It's funny to see this in writing. :D
Yeah, the "of" is a bit too fancy!!

Again, apologizing in advance as I've only come to follow since the most recent PC. A few points that I have not read about but may have definitely been discussed early on before I was reading -so, grain of salt, please. Be gentle with me. :)

1. Now they've released this bit of video and then the few words spoken by the killer, but LE never actually said anywhere that they go immediately together in time, do they? Could she have filmed that bit, the girls took off hurriedly as soon as Abby got to the end of the bridge, and then the series of words with "guys, down the hill" could be later? Maybe the girls made it all the way up the hill on the other side, heading to the cemetery and the cemetery road, and he caught them up the hill before they ever go to the cemetery and that's where he says - "guys, down the hill?" Like....BACK down the hill. Maybe someone could clarify?
2. Also, maybe this was a predator or local person who was fixated on the drop-off sister, Kelsi? Maybe he was working in town or visiting in town or home from college, possibly even stayed an extra day bc he hadn't gotten to see Kelsi (near Valentines Day). What did she say on her SM? "I don't feel like going to work today! Friend: Stop by before you go. K: I can't I'm going to Monon Trails first or I can't I'm already on my way to the trails by the high bridge. Whatever. Maybe when she dropped the girls off, BG was pissed (thinking she was going there herself) or maybe his intended target of 1 girl (Kelsi) just happened to turn into 2 girls?

Just thinking out loud at this point, I guess.

Really praying that justice comes to these two beautiful angels this weekend.

I too have wondered if he thought Kelsi would be there.

I agree, I don't think Abby and Libby are his first murders. I just don't think a first time killer would be confident enough to commit two murders in one go. This to me seems as though he's murdered before but just killing one person at a time was no longer enough to satisfy his appetite. A little like taking a drug, it takes more each time to fulfil the craving. I therefore feel he has killed at least a dozen times before and would put his age at at least early forties. However I do think it was an opportunistic murder, he spotted them and acted on impulse. MOO.

Also, on our WS timeline, it says girls were dropped off around 1:00pm on the day they went missing, but Libby's sister Kelsi has posted on Twitter that she dropped them off at 1:35pm that day.

Born in Kentucky and grew up part of my life in Alabama. Absolutely spot on. I can vouch for this, y’all. The only folks in Kentucky who use “guys” have moved there from Indiana.
Disagree. Never lived in Indiana. We all say "guys" here. Still better than the Eastern side of the state that ssys"youins".

It was Ian Huntley who murdered Jessica and
Holly.

Yep and even though as far as we know they were his only murders he had a history of sexual assault and rape accusations.

Very nasty individual who planted himself right at the heart of the investigation.

There are tv interviews with him that were filmed while the girls were missing with hind sight he looked as guilty as hell.
